Story time. I ended my time with the raiders in February, after 3 seasons. In April the R&B tour was announced and I loooove me some Breezy so I immediately hit my people… ya know… just to see what a suite would cost. Then hit my sister to see if we should do it. We made it out the group chat and into the suite life with some of my favorite ladies!! I’m so glad everyone could make it into town! We checked out the Vinyl Room, had coffee at the Waldorf, hit a day party downtown, did happy hour at the @uncommons.lv, ate fantastic ice cream from @saltandstraw and ended the trip with a special dinner at Maroon. I really hope everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend!! Summer is officially over! #chrisbrown #usher #fortyandfine #lasvegas #friends Obligatory group shot. Missing a few folks. We outsiiiiide!! Since today was the first day of school, I wanted to do a little summer recap! Looking back, it was pretty active! Talking turning lemons into lemonade! I’m glad her trip down here wasn’t in vain. My second trip to @maroonlasvegas with @iamjazminedanielle (going again in a couple of weeks 😋 Yes, more truffle on our mac and cheese, please. Living WWII Veterans and their family 🫡 A lil night sky and ocean breeze? Don’t mind if i do! #sanpedro Just celebrating my amazing kid again. She’s at Cal Poly Pomona (chem eng) already doing things and school just started. I’m glad she has found her tribe. I shall call her mini me. Conquering my disdain for the summer heat by working out outside Planned a successful work retreat (i can plan yours too) Watching my homie doing his thing on stage with jeezy My littles came to visit and we had a time!! Caesar’s pool, Fremont street, pink box donuts, PS5, Area 15 and private chef dinner 😂 All the things! Work things More work things… iHeartRadio edition Baseball in Vegas Work things, employer panel edition Lots of days at the gym. More days in the fall is the goal. @eosfitness And we closed out the summer and started the new school year with prayer and intention at the sunrise ceremony hosted by the American Indian Alliance, a campus faculty affinity group. Our campus sits on the land of the Nuwu Paiute tribes. And with that, summer ends. ❤️❤️ by @youneedmo

I don’t always share a lot on here about work stuff but this was a pretty active week and I had a lot of fun so I’m sharing. I attended my first baseball game in Vegas. My buddy and old co-worker Elgin and his wife hosted us in a suite at the ballpark. He’s also starting his PhD in public policy and is a strong advocate for educational opportunities for justice-impacted folks. Education lowers the rate of recidivism. Also with us is Dr. Kenny Cottrell, clean energy and cannibus policy expert. These two are my folks and they are doing great work. In case you didn’t know, Vegas does have a minor league ballpark. My first game! I love a good first experience. The VIP lounge was super cute and the staff was very friendly. Inside of the suite. Many may remember that I’m the co-chair for the black Graduation at UNLV, and the president of the organization that produces it, the Alliance of Professionals of African Heritage. We got polos!! 😁 A huge part of my job is building relationships with employer partners in hopes that they provide internship and job opportunities to our students. @tensorwave_cloud TensorWave is a AI tech start up who recently raised $350 million in Series B funding with a $1.5 billion valuation. They invited me to their summer internship culmination where 8 of their 14 interns were from UNLV. A group photo of all the interns and their staff mentors. A cookie with their character logo That same day I was invited down to the Las Vegas @iheartradio office for a fantastic tour of their space, which sits right on Fremont Street. I brought my student employee with me as he is an Entertainment Engineering major and he totally geeked out over all of the gear, which made me happy. by @youneedmo

I’ve done a lot of driving in my day for one reason or another. Whether I am taking people around town or I had to take over as the driver for a tour, I’ve picked up tons of best practices. So I thought I’d share. Before y’all piss me off again. #events #travel #hospitality #entertainment by @youneedmo

Earlier this week I attended the @shesgottime Women In Sports Summit. I didn’t know what to expect and I still get a little overwhelmed when going into rooms with large groups of people but I will continue to push myself and show up! Led by @swincash, this summit brought women together who serve in a variety of sports, sports adjacent and loosely related industries. I came to gain a better understanding of the future of an industry that is currently setting roots in Vegas and left with refined vision. Day 1 was workshop style. Interactive, sitting in pod-like booths, with built-in networking opportunities. We discussed the false narratives that women encounter across all corporate structures and worked through our own leadership goals. I actually volunteered to share with the group. At the reception that night, I met more amazing ladies and ended up on the dance floor because you know… line dancing. A time was had! Day 2 was a schedule of intriguing and poignant panels with many of the thought leaders in sports. I had lunch with some of those thought leaders, which was really cool. By the end of it, I made some new connections, added some new tools to the kit, was able to share about my latest event planning venture and set my sights on bigger goals in and out of the office. I will be returning next year (hopefully assisting with the planning 👀) Side note, all of the decor was beautiful! The intentionality was evident! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 #womeninsports #wynn #worklife #networking by @youneedmo

There’s a tattoo on my shoulder that has been there for a while…. When i got it, I needed motivation to take the leap. It says “Oh but my darling, what if you fly?” I started ignoring it after a while because I was flying fearlessly. Then some things happened to make me question my own abilities.. losing clients, moving to a new town, Covid, the immediate need for income, the unknown…. But! I’m taking the leap again and sharing what I’ve been working on. Yep, you still need Mo, but for more focused reasons. I’m leaning into my areas of expertise- event planning and production, guest experience consultancy, entertainment -based event enhancements, and coordination. I still offer PR services, but they are additions to the package. This space will look a little different as I share more about my experiences over the last (almost) 30 years of working events and creating memorable experiences. Tell me what you want to hear about and feel free to drop my name in a room or two. #youneedmo #eventplanning #lasvegas #losangeles #consultant by @youneedmo
