The Arrival~

I started it back in August as a small sketch, after watching a scene from the Peter pan movie where he came through the window, it inspired me to want to create somthing based off that scene using my imaginary astronaut character as the main protagonist.

to me he represents childhood dreams of traveling space & facing the reality of life as an adult.

the skull represents dying inside, burnout due to the cycle people fall into in this society trying to survive.
my goal was to build a scene where this mysterious being with unique power interrupts a woman late at night taking her to the unknown as she embraces them with curiosity and awe, I want to leave enough for the viewer to imagine.

I might expand on this later on, a lot of my recent work has been me building a scifi fantasy world that all connects in some way.

Affection~

The idea behind this series was to showcase a psychological descent into false comfort and control.

The devil plays his role as the character causing pain toward his partner while simultaneously comforting them.

The “Hug” is the main piece in this series,I wanted to really capture that sinister look in his eyes, which I felt came out perfect.

The shadow figures in the background represent those looking from the outside of this relationship, silently watching it all happen.

My inspiration for this came from a few older drawings I’ve made, and from an artist named Cristobal Lopez, who created many popular works with a similar dark emotional tone. Seeing broken relationships in real life also helped me bring this series together. by @young_afrocano
