'HELP(2)' - the new collaborative album, OUT NOW. All proceeds support @warchilduk
POSTS STORIES REELS
OUT NOW. War Child Records presents ‘HELP(2)’ - the new collaborative album. We are very proud to be a part of this project because @warchilduk does the work everyone should be a part of: protecting children in war zones while also working for it to never happen in the first place. Our contribution is a track called ‘Don’t Fight The Young’. Which seems a bit obvious as a title but it’s all obvious isn’t it? Don’t bomb kids. It’s f**king obvious. Yet here we are. Our hope from this is for people to support this charity that does the most important work from Gaza to Congo, Sudan to Afghanistan, Ukraine to Yemen. Above all, we want people to donate and get active in trying to stop war. Buy the album, donate, get active, write your local politician, get involved in your community, protest, take direct action - anything is something. Thank you to everyone at War Child, @james_ellis_ford and @abbeyroadstudios for putting it all together. Vinyl / Stream available now from @warchildrecs or Link in bio. 📸 @_adamajalloh by @young_fathers

Our track ‘Pals’, was featured in an advert during Sunday’s Superbowl. From our cut of the fee, we are donating to the following organisations: - The Immigrant Rapid Response Fund in Minnesota @womensfndnmn who provide resources (legal services & emergency basics such as food, housing, transportation and healthcare) to all immigrant communities, including those who have been recently targeted by ICE. https://www.wfmn.org/funds/immigrant-rapid-response/ - @warchilduk , who work to ensure a safe future for every child living through war. https://www.warchild.org.uk/ As the USA is increasingly under attack from fascism we stand with those who are being kidnapped, murdered and tortured by ICE thugs, as well as those who work with children trapped inside war zones in places like Gaza, Sudan, Congo, Yemen & Ukraine. by @young_fathers

28 Years Later, the latest installment of the cult franchise, is now available for the first time on vinyl ☣️⁣ ⁣ Pressed on a 140g translucent blood-red vinyl, this double LP features a thrilling score and original vocal tracks by the critically acclaimed Scottish soul-punk band Young Fathers, including fan favorites “Promised Land,” “Causeway,” and “Boots,” which chillingly weaves in Rudyard Kipling’s wartime poetry. This release also includes a printed gatefold, disc labels, and sleeves with haunting imagery from the film’s post-apocalyptic world.⁣ ⁣ Grab your copy via the link in stories! by @young_fathers
We once recorded an album titled ‘WHITE MEN ARE BLACK MEN TOO’. Brexit was looming, nationalism was becoming nice and cosy again, Europe was leaning right, Ferguson was on fire, Black Lives Matter was in its early stages, although the point they were proving was as old as the hills. Fascists and racists were poking their heads out to see if it’s safe again, being led through the gates by those who wanted to create chaos. This was 10 years ago. For some, the title of the album seemed provocative. Yes it was to annoy the kind of racists who hate being called racists, but it was also for clarity. To clarify that race is a construct that has tried to destroy reality. To bring home the idea that we are all migrants. To attempt to reveal how deeply engrained racism is in everyone’s life and to ask the question, what do we do now? We discussed putting a ‘?’ at the end of the title. We chose not to. The title worked how we wanted it to. It was a talking point. Although maybe because of its title, the album was avoided. White Men Are Black Men Too 10th anniversary issue will be released for RSD Black Friday on 28th November. Exclusively available from your local independent record store. This special 10th anniversary issue comes with an all new dub version of the whole album created by Co-Producer Tim London. Only available on black vinyl with a thin white line through it. It also has new censored artwork with a ‘secret’ message and a poster inside. Thank you to everyone who helped with the album, @timothylondonauthor , J&P, @lawholt , @hannahtw, @bigdadarecordings & @ninjatune . Thank you to those who support us and to all who keep using their voices to fight racism, fascism and for a Free Palestine. “You’re killing all the birds, that’s why they don’t sing anymore” YF. by @young_fathers
YOUNG FATHERS x NO MUSIC FOR GENOCIDE 💿🚫 Artists & Record Labels: geoblock your music in Israel! Go to @nomusicforgenocide to learn more and view the over 400 artists/labels who’ve already joined. The action is simple but powerful: request geo-restriction of music in Israel across DSPs.  No Music for Genocide is a new cultural boycott initiative asking artists and rights-holders to remove their music from streaming platforms in Israel in response to its genocide in Gaza; ethnic cleansing of the Occupied West Bank; apartheid within Israel; and political repression of Pro-Palestine efforts wherever we live. This is a decentralized, global volunteer movement with no institutional backer.  This tangible act is just one step toward honoring Palestinian demands to isolate and delegitimize Israel as it kills without consequence on the world stage. The successful cultural boycotts against apartheid South Africa prove that our creative work grants us agency and power. When we wield it together, we add unified pressure to a growing, global, interdependent movement, from Hollywood to the docks of Morocco. We don’t boycott to target individuals: this is a rejection of apartheid Israel’s cultural industry, which works hand in hand with global music and media institutions to whitewash apartheid and genocide. NO ART FOR APARTHEID, NO MUSIC FOR GENOCIDE. FREE PALESTINE. by @young_fathers
