Young Muslims Brothers Promo Video:

Young Muslims (YM) is a pioneering national youth organization that has been on the youth scene since the early 90s. We have established a well-organized network of local youth groups called NeighborNets (which means a network of neighbors) across the United States and Canada. Each NeighborNet is a dynamic youth group that attempts to build a solid understanding of the principles of Islam amongst its members by helping them put these principles into practice. By providing the youth with an Islamic atmosphere where they can form bonds of brotherhood with their peers, they become comfortable with Islam and its teachings. We encourage these youth to take the next step and become the torchbearers of Islamic work in America. We stress the importance of knowing, understanding, and fulfilling our individual and collective obligations as Muslims.

An immigration judge ruled this week that Salah Sarsour, president of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee, can be deported from the country he has lived in for 33 years. He has never been charged with a crime in the United States.

The First Amendment protects everyone here, not only citizens. When a lawful resident can be removed for his advocacy for Palestinian rights, every green card holder learns to watch what they say.

ICNA CSJ stands with Salah Sarsour, his family, and the Islamic Society of Milwaukee as they appeal.

Are Muslims in America really “cooked”? Or is the future of Islam in America far more hopeful than social media makes it seem?

In this episode of The Thinking Youth Podcast, we sit down with Aqil Farooqui and Shaheer Iqbal, the current leaders of Young Muslims (YM), to talk about the real state of Muslim youth in America.

We discuss faith, identity, community, Islamophobia, growing up Muslim in the United States, and one of the biggest questions facing the community:

Can the next generation of American Muslims thrive without losing their Islam?

A conversation about the challenges, opportunities and future of Muslims in America directly from those working with young Muslims across the country.

Today is National Voter Registration Day. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, and in the states that close registration 30 days out, the cutoff is October 4. That is less than three weeks away.

If you moved since the last time you voted, your registration may still be sitting at the old address. If you changed your name, same problem. The check takes 30 seconds.

We built one page for all of it: check your status, register, request a mail ballot, find your polling place. ICNA CSJ is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3). We do not back candidates or parties. We want every eligible person in our community on the rolls.

As the new school year begins, it’s the perfect time to set new goals and be intentional about what we want to accomplish. 📚 Using the SMART method is one way to turn your goals into actionable steps and help stay on track. Always remember to put in your best effort and leave the outcome to Allah SWT. May He put barakah in our time, knowledge, and efforts this school year. Ameen 🤲 by @young_muslims

Twenty-five years ago this month, nearly 3,000 people were killed on a single morning. We remember them. We grieve with every family still carrying that loss, and we honor the firefighters, the neighbors, the strangers who ran toward the danger to save people they'd never met.

That day wounded all of America. And in the years that followed, the country was tested again — by what fear can do to a people. Surveillance. Suspicion. Hate crimes that rose and never fully receded. Muslim Americans lived that chapter too, alongside everyone working to make sure "never again" meant for anyone.

But this is also a story of a country that kept choosing each other. Neighbors who showed up. Coalitions built across faiths. Communities that refused to let grief curdle into permanent division. Swipe through a quarter-century most headlines skipped — the hard parts, and the hopeful ones.

Because the truest way to honor the lost is to build the country they deserved: one where no one is judged by the actions of others, and where justice means justice for everyone.

That's the work ICNA CSJ has given decades to. Today we remember together — and we keep building together.
