POSTS STORIES REELS

It’s the end of the week…How’s your heart? Can you feel the connection - the pull we all have to one another? … how do you return when you’ve lost touch and feel alone?

Thank you Eric for reminding us that we can feel more connected through creativity and that there is heart and care around us - even when all we feel/see is darkness. 🌎✨🌍✨🌏

Check out Eric’s interview and other episodes of #ThisAmericanRice on your fav podcast platform! by @youngelderlab

🍽️😋🥢🥄Grab a plate because we are diving right in!

This episode features Teaching Artist and Health Educator Eric Abel Esquivel-Gutierrez (any pronoun with respect) currently based in Oakland, CA. Eric intentionally uses art culture and teaching artistry to spread the message of community love and personal power.

Through Eric’s stories and reflections we learn about what it was like growing up as a kid who loved art, performance, and making music, and how these early life experiences continue to shape identity well into adulthood.

Eric’s journey is a beautiful example of being Ni de Aqui, Ni de Alla (not from here or there) and how living at life’s many intersections of culture and identity can be messy and joyful.

As part of this episode, Eric shares his Grandmother Natalie’s soup recipe This soup brings together various spices and herbs to help warm up the body and get your kitchen smelling amazing. Get Eric’s full recipe at TharavadaYoga.com.

For the podcast, D. shares a recipe that is simple, spicy, and warming - The Mystic Fireball. ☄️🥃✨🥰 This drink is perfect as we head into shorter days, darkness, and coldness.

Whether enjoyed hot or iced, with whiskey or without, the spicy notes and delicate cream of The Mystic Fireball help us find a good excuse to slow the F down and breathe. Here’s how to make it…

-16 ounces Chai Tea (iced or hot)
-Honey (or preferred sweetener) to taste
-2.5 ounces Fireball whiskey
-Whipped cream (optional)
-Caramel sauce (optional)

1.Prepare your tea as desired
2.Add whiskey and stir
3.Top with whipped cream and caramel sauce
4.Enjoy!
There are many variations and options with this recipe. Let pleasure guide as you explore. 😉 by @youngelderlab

Your grief is valid. You are entitled to help. You are entitled to healing. Your ancestors want it for you. Future generations want it for you, just as you want it for them.

It is not selfish to heal. On the contrary, it is an act of resistance. It is the rising tide that lifts all ships; past, present, and future. ✨️🖤✨️

Save the date! @adventuresofgriefgirl and @tharavadayoga have been brewing up something special over the summer. Now the leaves are curling, the cold wind is rasping, and we can’t wait to share space and breath with you. The time is ripe to call in our shadows to be held and tended in community.

The last two years have been an emotional and spiritual shitshow for so many of us. If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably been storing up a bunch of shadow work for that magical moment when you “have time for it.”

If so, then you are gently and warmly invited to the Grief & Growth workshop.

Much more info to come in the following weeks! Sign up for our email list to get the latest delivered to your fingertips, special offers, and more (link in bio).
