3rd pair of jeans sewn. Constructed from a 14 oz. Indigo Cone denim, fully bias taped, and stamped with Japanese 2 prong hardware. These are an updated pattern from my black pair. With a low rise fit and shorter crotch length to give that long leg shape while still maintaining a baggy silhouette. . . . . #denim #sewing #cutnsew #baggyjeans #fashion by @youngmatts

Lately I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting. Theres been some really heavy, dark seasons. The kind that make you question everything. In those times, I’m always trying so hard not to give up. Something in me always looks for the smallest bit of light, and that’s what keeps pulling me forward. Change has been brutal. Feeling uncomfortable, awkward, and completely exposed in front of people I know. Thats probably my biggest struggle. I’ve spent a long time hiding parts of myself. But I’m finally trying to show up as the person I actually am and It’s scary as hell. Some days it feels messy and uncertain. Other days it feels freeing and honestly… really good. I’m slowly becoming someone I’m proud of. The crazy part… That little kid version of me the one who was curious, soft, and full of wonder, is still in there. I’m learning to let him breathe again. Turns out he never really left. If you’re in the middle of your own messy season right now… you’re not alone. Keep going. The light shows up, even when you can barely see it. by @youngmatts

Reworked this Thrifted chore Jacket. Started out by chopping the length, then I decided to reused all the fabric back on to the jacket - cropped & hemmed - relocated front pockets - widened forearm part to create pagoda sleeves + lining - added 2way front pocket button straps - decorative distressed patchwork on back panel #fashion #diy #sewing #rework #upcycle by @youngmatts
