Busking this summer has been some of the most fun I’ve had in my entire music journey so far. I finally got to stop caring about everything around me and just do what I love in its greatest raw form. This dude Grateful Bill inspired me to start busking a few years ago and this year was the first time I started doing it consistently. This whole thing changed my entire view of why I do this and really showed me how important not only music is, but live music. It’s one of the greatest art forms there is. It brings everyone together to agree on one thing. Bill told me something that really stuck with me, “There’s no substitute for playing live directly to people. We could sound great in our living rooms, but there’s no substitute for the exchange of energy that happens with live music with a live audience. It is a living, breathing thing that takes on a life of a tone and will make you a better musician each and every time you do it.“ Im so excited to see what the future brings for me and my music. This is only the beginning! It’s not everyday you get to meet your childhood hero! As rough as my life’s been lately, it’s moments like this that pick me up and motivate me to keep going. I was driving around and something told me to drive into Asbury, and Im glad I listened to it. He was super chill and kind! He even threw me a couple stickers. Shepard Fairey has been my favorite artist since I was a kid. I wrote to him for a school project in 5th grade and he sent me back an insane pack of stickers and I wrote him back again and he sent me an amazing signed screen print that I hold near and dear to me to this day. I was super nervous and I had no idea this was gonna happen but Im so glad I got to meet him. Asbury Park has always been a magical place for me. This is where I went to my first concert (Foo Fighters) in 2012, and to meet my favorite artist here today was mind blowing! by @youngorangee
