Uncle Mike,

There will never be another like you, you were truly 1 of 1. You were everything to me. You called me every single day just to say you loved me. If you were in town, you always pulled up to see me. You never missed a basketball or football game if you could help it. You brought me with you to almost every local game, always making sure I was part of what you loved.

You never missed my birthday. If I had a party, you made sure you were there every time.

You’d stop whatever you were doing just to show up for me. You always told me, “You’re the best,” and “Ain’t nobody better, baby!” You believed in me. And now, my heart is hurting so bad.

Being with you in the hospital, I know you heard me. I felt it. I’m glad I could be by your side, even though it was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I’m trying to stay strong like you would want me to… but this hurts.

You always supported everybody. You gave so much of yourself. Now it’s your time to rest, Uncle Mike. I just wish I could hear you say one more time how proud you were of me.

You came to every training session, checked on every coach, made sure everything was right. You never let me down.

Please watch over me. I miss you so much. I love you forever. 💔🙏🏽🕊️

First day of speed training. ✅

Got up early to get the work in, then went to another session in the PM to focus on running back drills.

I’m still hoopin’ 🏀 but gotta stay ready for tackle football. Big shift but I’m locked in! 🔒
