My mom suddenly became very ill, but is now free of her illness and suffering.

From our humom:

"Dear Friends, We are lovingly admonished to make sure we are prepared for a Medical Emergency, especially as regards Blood Transfusion. However, have we ever considered if it involved a Beloved Pet?! My precious Trixie Very Suddenly became Weak: I went to the Vet: after doing various tests it was determined she had 'IMHA' - an Autoimmune Disease which causes Anemia. I was in Shock! She could not be stabilized to bring her home; she was in ICU at the Emergency Hospital. Standard procedure is Blood Transfusion!!! PLEASE refer to W 64, 2/15 pp 12. Questions from Readers.

Since Blood was 'off the table' they used Steroids etc. Even with Treatment it is a long drawn out process for up to a year. No Guarantees, Survival rate is not good.

I made the heart wrenching decision to 'put her to sleep'.. I held and stayed with her before and after. I'm still in Shock and Heartbroken. 💔💔" taken in Oakville, Ontario by @youngprincetoby

My new 'do'!
I love it! I met my new groomer, Susan, yesterday. She was amazing! I had such a great time with her in her mobile grooming van with it's big windows. I could see people - and squirrels - outside! Hoomom and Auntie could watch me from inside the house. I really look forward to my next appointment! My hoomom and Auntie love my new do too by @youngprincetoby

So the photo I posted yesterday apparently was not Mom's favourite. She likes this one much better, so I hope by posting it I can get myself out of the doghouse and back into the big house. Mom doesn't like thunderstorms or fireworks either. This is Mom in her new 'thundershirt' - she 'outgrew' her other one during Covid, but don't tell her I told you there is more of her now than before. She's still a cute Mom though, just don't cross her! I got my good looks, and my spunk from her! by @youngprincetoby
