Feltri di lana grezza e acciaio, 200 x 150 x 120 cm.
Edizione: Pezzo unico 🛒
🇬🇧 Francesca Polizzi's artistic research is strongly linked to the material and the meaning it can take on. She creates her works by employing natural materials, mainly raw wool, on which she imprints her action from the first stages of transformation: shearing, washing, carding, color selection and felting are all steps by which the artist imprints her action on the natural material, shaping it and charging it with physical and intellectual memory.
In Passo [3] raw wool felts are in contrasting dialogue with the steel of the support structure; the primordial material thus takes on new arrangement, form and meaning, in a simultaneous and continuous transfer between the organic of the material and the inorganic of the constituted form.
