🚗 Lisbon ➝ Albufeira, the scenic way.

Today felt special. I crossed the iconic Ponte Vasco da Gama, proud to be driving across one of Europe’s longest bridges, stretching over the Tagus River. Named after Vasco da Gama, the Portuguese explorer who opened the sea route to India and reached Kerala’s shores more than 500 years ago, it felt like a small connection between Portugal and home.

I followed the countryside roads through Porto Covo, Vila Nova de Milfontes, and Zambujeira do Mar—where every turn seemed more beautiful than the last.

Endless cork oak forests, eucalyptus groves, stone pines, maritime pines and olive trees, all framed by the wild landscapes of the Alentejo coast.

Ocean views, quiet villages, winding roads, and a bridge that carries centuries of history. Some journeys are about the destination; today was all about the road itself.
