26.2 Miles. More Than Just a Race.

For two months I trained for this marathon. Early mornings. Long runs. Sacrifices. Discipline.

Then the week before race day… I got sick. Not regular sick — emergency room sick. Missed work. Body feeling drained. Everything in me could’ve said, “Not this year.”

Race morning I still felt confident. But right before the start line, I catch a random nosebleed. That’s not even something that happens to me. By mile 3 my nose running like a faucet. People asking if I’m okay because of how bad it looked.

I shook it off.

Kept moving.

What I didn’t know? This course had 23 hills in a 26-mile race. Basically a hill every mile. The original goal was 4 hours. The hills had other plans.

I finished in 6.

And I’m still proud.

Because this wasn’t about a time. It was about heart. About not quitting when everything feels off. About pushing through when your body trying to convince you to stop.

From Cleveland roots to Atlanta pavement — this was bigger than a medal. This was proof that I can endure.

26.2 miles.
Sick.
Bleeding.
Hills every mile.
Still finished.

Marathon mindset forever. 🏁

14 miles with my brother.

Ran through the city, touched some history, saw where greatness got its start, and took it all in.

Atlanta got a different feeling when you slow down enough to really see it.

Just me, bro, 14 miles & a little perspective.
Life been moving smooth. 🌹🤞🏾
