It’s amazing, when you take some time to navigate your life by connecting the dots of your past you can see what your present holds, and how it can navigate your future.

Your Wellness comes from a place of change, curiosity, healing, evolving, and being intentional.

Many of you know me as Cia, Founder of @ciawellness where I help humans build a lifestyle that resonates with them. I started back in 2017 when I was leaving a career in Film and embarking on a dream that has led me to train, lead, and motivate many humans over the years. Now I stand here evolved, led by more curiosity about the body and mind as a Certified Nutritional Practitioner.

Since I was a child I struggled with gut issues that started to increase through sport when I developed an eating disorder at 14. This led to many hospital trips for unanswered pain, anxiety attacks, mental breakdowns, and body dysmorphia when I was in my teens into my 20s. Though strength training changed the way I viewed my health, digging a bit deeper created a surging passion to understand how to heal the body at a cellular level. I hated being bloated 24/7, crying because I would be in so much pain, I finally found out I had IBS-C. With the weight lifted off of my shoulders, there was still more work to be done.

I write this to say, optimizing your life in the ways that resonate with you takes time. Throughout my journey, I’ve built a better relationship with food, went from fight/flight mode the majority of my days, to learning how to not stress about things that I can not control, focusing on foods to heal my gut, boost my energy, and learn how to move pain-free.

As a Holistic Nutritionist I help you get to the root cause by assessing your symptoms and creating a personalized nutritional and training program to help restore function and optimize your wellness journey.

Here are random facts about me:

1. I haven’t worn make-up in 5 years
2. My first Credited Film was Resident Evil - The Final Chapter
3. The first Art Exhibition I Production Managed was displayed in the AGO
4. Favourite Book: You Deserve Nothing by Alexander Masik
5. Gymnastics was my first love, Cheerleading has a solid second place. by @your.wellnessclub

I’ve had this vision for a while looking to step more into a space that at one moment felt very far fetch, but once dialled in you’re constantly reminded that anything is possible.

January started off on a high note, grateful to take a leap forward in new ventures where using my voice to educate on topics that I love comes natural to me.

Our Gut Health 101 Seminar “How Your Gut Impacts Your Training” was such a beautiful success. Thank you to @trueathletetraining and @__ssaga for helping me bring this vision to life to our community and more!

Thank you to @goodearthcreditvalley and @ultrafitmealz for the amazing food provided and grateful to have the opportunity to work with our sponsors @canprev , @greenhousejuice , @itsblume , @freshouse.juicebar , @genuinehealth for the goody bags that went so well with our topic for the day!

Y’all have no idea how much it meant to see how hard you pushed through the workout, how engaged you were, the questions asked, and the conversations had. This was a space to learn how our training and everyday is impacted by our digestion from our energy, cravings, strength, mood, recovery, and within that we learned so much more!

To my first solo Nutrition Seminar, and definitely not the last!
Thank You all for coming out and supporting!

Just shy of over a year, I started to express myself again through writing. Sharing my thoughts, recipes, movement and everything in between. Discovering a different side of me and taking you along.

My first love was always writing, so I’m taking a piece of me and giving it to you in my realm of wellness.

So much to discover here

It’s easy to have visions and dreams and not execute them. But I stopped making my imagination go wild and sit on ideas, and started moving through them.

This year, I’m really honing in on giving myself the time and space to feel all the emotions, reflect, dissect, and most importantly, celebrate what I’ve accomplished.

… For right now, we celebrate.
We celebrate a sold-out event.
We celebrate bringing in a diverse community.
We celebrate moving forward with an idea and bringing it to life.
We celebrate locking in an epic lineup of sponsors.
We celebrate stepping into a new chapter for the business.
We celebrate everything.
