POSTS STORIES REELS

It’s easy to have visions and dreams and not execute them. But I stopped making my imagination go wild and sit on ideas, and started moving through them.

This year, I’m really honing in on giving myself the time and space to feel all the emotions, reflect, dissect, and most importantly, celebrate what I’ve accomplished.

… For right now, we celebrate.
We celebrate a sold-out event.
We celebrate bringing in a diverse community.
We celebrate moving forward with an idea and bringing it to life.
We celebrate locking in an epic lineup of sponsors.
We celebrate stepping into a new chapter for the business.
We celebrate everything.

More recaps of the Gut Health 101 Nutrition Seminar to come 💜 by @ciawellness

Building a relationship with food goes far beyond counting calories and breaking down macros for your day. It’s about creating autonomy, having the power to have control in a way that yields results through your performance, focus, and energy in your day. Creating space for you to see and feel how your body responds based on the choices you make.

I’m grateful to have had this opportunity to speak at @macuperformance Performance and Wellness Workshop Friday, and hope this message was received the way l intended it to be.

“Whatever God gives you, you must share.”

Taking another step into the direction that propels me forward.

I’m in the business of helping others build a lifestyle that resonates with them, and in order for me to do that I had to tell my story, embrace my story and let my life be what it is as I build.

When I was a kid I use to watch a lot of Oprah to the point I’d go into my room open my closet door and pretend my clothes was the audience, I was the host interviewing someone that I would pretend to be as well. My imagination was wild and somewhere in the middle it stopped being so wild because I started focusing on things people would say about me, say about my voice, say about my dreams and aspirations. There were a lot of moments in life where I blocked out the white noise and carried away in my imaginative world to achieve the things in my reality, but there would always be this imaginary line that I couldn’t cross over because fear, self doubt, reoccurring thought patterns would step in. My limited beliefs.

These days I’m stepping over the line, exploring the untouched, and embracing it all. Is it scary? yes, but it’s a thrill to know my voice got stronger, my imagination growing wilder, I’m stepping into my power, Gods guiding me through and with that a life I resonate with.

I’m being myself, I have no resistance to it. I’m being huge. I’m being scary. I’m BEING me.

It started with my mindset shift and yesterday I had the opportunity at McMaster Empower Her event to tell my story and guide a mindset journaling exercise I work through in different chapters in my life and with my clients.

Grateful Always 🌺🫶🏾

Parents hear a lot about what kids should be eating. Class 3 of Healthy Eating & Life Reset turns that advice into meals and snacks that actually show up on your table.

Alicia (@ciawellness) explains the basic roles of protein and fibre in clear, everyday language. Protein helps build and repair the body, from muscles to the antibodies your immune system makes. Fibre supports regular digestion and helps meals feel satisfying, and different types do different jobs.

Then the class gets practical. You’ll look at familiar sources of each, like eggs, yogurt, beans, lentils, oats, fruit, vegetables and whole grains, and talk about easy ways to add them to foods your household already enjoys. Think apple slices with nut butter, yogurt with berries, or a handful of beans stirred into soup.

There’s no counting grams in this class. The goal is noticing, because a small addition at breakfast or in a lunch box is easier to keep up than a whole new menu. If your family is new to higher fibre foods, Alicia also explains why going slowly with plenty of fluids is kinder on everyone’s stomach.

You’ll leave with a family meal or snack planned that includes both.

Meet Alicia Mogent (@ciawellness), the instructor who opens Healthy Eating & Life Reset with our first three classes.

Alicia is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner and a strength coach, and she founded Cia Wellness to help people build a lifestyle that actually fits them. Her background is wide: a degree in broadcast journalism, a degree in holistic nutrition, personal training and strength and conditioning certifications, habits coaching, Precision Nutrition, and Mental Health First Aid.

What shapes her teaching most is her own story. Alicia spent years with a difficult relationship with food and her body. Her turning point wasn’t a big overhaul. It was a morning run in the sunlight, and buying one fruit or vegetable she’d never tried on each grocery trip. She started small until it became a habit, and twelve years later that is exactly how she teaches.

In class, that means no pressure to empty your cupboards. You’ll look at what’s already in your pantry, build a make-ahead meal your family will actually eat, and find easy ways to add protein and fibre to the foods your kids already like.

Last time in the gym before thanksgiving and feeling so grateful to join the @pctcheerandtumble fam and for meeting my new bestie @ciawellness! Have a good thanksgiving weekend 🦃❤️ by @ciawellness

Lately, the first question people ask when they see me is, “Where have you been?”

This year I had a [soul] focus on regulating my nervous system (and still going), which meant for me to remove a lot of things that I felt were not resonating, caused distractions and most importantly created an environment where my nervous system didn’t feel safe.

I’m an introspective person. I’m constantly asking questions to myself on how I feel, how I move, paying close attention to my emotions, to how every action affects me internally, and responds externally, and examining my ideas. Then I translate this into movement, breathwork, journaling and how it all plays a role to the nervous system.

I wrote earlier on in the year on my substack about “Coming Back Home To Yourself”, A perspective about when you remove yourself from things that don’t service you, you begin to hear your voice clearly, God Clearly.

Who I am today, is the work of coming back home to myself. It’s a reminder that every step I take forward, the outcome is delivered by my faith I have in God. And I’m reminded each day, that my story is and always has been written, and I’m on divine timing.

So I asked God : May you shower me with Perseverance, and make my steps FIRM.

…

I write this to say: your mindset shift is truly powerful when you do it with intention, when you ask with the belief that your faith is greater than your fears.

I’m grounded in knowing I’m truly lucky to be at the pace that suits me. That allows me to soak it all in, and be present. Allows me to be just where I need to be. @ciawellness

I’ve had this vision for a while looking to step more into a space that at one moment felt very far fetch, but once dialled in you’re constantly reminded that anything is possible.

January started off on a high note, grateful to take a leap forward in new ventures where using my voice to educate on topics that I love comes natural to me.

Our Gut Health 101 Seminar “How Your Gut Impacts Your Training” was such a beautiful success. Thank you to @trueathletetraining and @__ssaga for helping me bring this vision to life to our community and more!

Thank you to @goodearthcreditvalley and @ultrafitmealz for the amazing food provided and grateful to have the opportunity to work with our sponsors @canprev , @greenhousejuice , @itsblume , @freshouse.juicebar , @genuinehealth for the goody bags that went so well with our topic for the day!

Y’all have no idea how much it meant to see how hard you pushed through the workout, how engaged you were, the questions asked, and the conversations had. This was a space to learn how our training and everyday is impacted by our digestion from our energy, cravings, strength, mood, recovery, and within that we learned so much more!

To my first solo Nutrition Seminar, and definitely not the last!
Thank You all for coming out and supporting!
