The holiday season can be joyful, but it is also a time where other feelings may come up or be emphasized. It could be comforting to know that it is normal to have feelings of grief, sadness, and even anger during the holidays. Please do not feel guilty for having your own unique feelings during this time.

Whether it’s a relationship with family, friends, or a significant other, it is important to ask yourself some questions.

1. Do I feel respected by this person?

2.Do I feel safe around this person?

3. Am I treated the way I’d treat someone I love?

4. Is this person happy for my achievements?

5. Does this person respect the boundaries I have set for myself?

6. Does this person allow me to speak openly without judgement?

7. Is this person kind? by @yourarabtherapist

Hi everyone! Thanks for the follow! I am currently a clinical mental health masters student training for my LPC license.

One of the large reasons I went into this field was to help break the stigma of mental health in the middle eastern community. I wanted to make this account to start the conversation and help people learn more about the importance of self-care, healing, and having better understanding of our mental health. I hope you are able to learn more about yourself & become more self-aware 🤍 by @yourarabtherapist
