Before Peter and Kara's date. Kara's Interview (It went really good!)
When Kara told me she had gotten the job I was very excited for her! Even tho J.J is still on board as the new Bugle's Broadcast he was impressed (which knowing him is very weird) by Kara's performance and I must say... watch yourself K, he'll soon become a pain in the ass. After that call with her, I finally had the courage to ask her on a date, well, she was the one who asked me out to celebrate but I'll be taking care of that. Don't know why I found miself smiling after she said she wanted to have a date... Ugh, hate to admit it, but I can't ignore these feelings anymore. I'll tell her how I feel and... I'll tell her who I really am. But before that, Spidey has to take care of some bad guys first.

Then Jameson called, screaming through the phone for more pictures of the "Spider-Menace" and more stories exposing Fisk's corruption.
I couldn't help but laugh. "At least Jameson's on the right side when it comes to Fisk."
Kara laughed.
After the call, she said she had to get ready for work. Before walking to her room, she kissed my cheek again with that playful smile and said "Don't peek~" still smiling at me. She keeps doing things like that...
And I don't know what to do with it.
The truth is... I don't understand why I'm starting to feel this way.
I've spent the last four years keeping everyone at a distance. After May died... after MJ forgot me... I convinced myself it was safer not to let anyone get close.
Then Kara came into my life.
She spends her days helping people at FEAST, and now she's a reporter at the Daily Bugle. Risking herself to expose Fisk's corruption, to help Spider-Man.
To help me...
The funny thing is... she has no idea that the person she's trying to help is also the guy she shares an apartment with every single day.
The awkward scientist who just got a new research job. The teacher trying to balance two careers.
The idiot who somehow burns eggs while making breakfast. Lately she's been getting closer to me.
Closer than anyone has in years.
And honestly... That terrifies me.
Because I know what happens when I let myself love someone.
Gwen died.
The last thing she ever saw wasn't Peter Parker.
It was Spider-Man desperately trying to save her.
Smetimes... I still wonder if that's worse. What if Kara gets hurt because she's close to me? What if she dies because of me?
Maybe that's the selfish part of me talking.
I'm not afraif of just losing her. I'm afraid of being the reason I lose her.
Maybe that's why I've been trying so hard to convince myself that this is nothing. That this is just another stupid dream.
Because if I admit the truth... If I admit that I'm actually starting to fall for her... Then I'd also have to admit something else.
I'm terrified that one day I'll be standing over another grave... Wondering if I could've saved one more person. by @yourfriendlyspidermenace

*After that Spicy Dream Peter had. He started the day by making Breakfast*
This is getting ridiculous.
I can't stop thinking about that stupid dream.
Out of every possible thing my subconscious could have come up with...
It chose Kara.
In a waitress uniform.
Singing "Be My Spider."
...Seriously?
I rubbed the back of my neck as I quietly made breakfast, trying my absolute best to pretend none of it had ever happened.
It was just a dream.
People dream weird things all the time.
That was all.
Right?
Then Kara walked into the kitchen.
"...Morning, Peter."
She smiled.
I nearly dropped the spatula.
"Morning."
Keep it together.
Act normal.
She's just Kara.
Your roommate.
Your friend.
Nothing else.
For some reason, every time I looked at her, my brain insisted on replaying that dream.
I immediately looked somewhere else.
The stove.
The table.
The ceiling.
Anywhere but her.
Unfortunately...
She noticed.
Of course she noticed.
She leaned on the counter, resting her chin on her hand with a tiny smile that almost looked... amused.
"You okay?"
"...Yeah."
"You sure?"
"...Yep."
"...Peter."
"...Mhm?"
"You've been avoiding looking at me for the last five minutes."
"I have not."
"You literally answered while staring at the toaster."
"...The toaster looked interesting."
She giggled.
Great.
Now she was making fun of me.
I had no idea why she suddenly seemed to enjoy seeing me nervous.
Every now and then she'd catch my eyes for just a second before smiling to herself.
What was that smile about?
Why did it feel like she knew something?
Thankfully...
She couldn't possibly know about my dream.
Right?
...
Right?
She stayed close while helping me clean after I completely burned breakfast.
Again.
Not my proudest moment.
Every time our hands almost touched, I instinctively moved away.
