Ready, set, let’s go Houston! 🚀

Sneak peek! Today was installation day for the Affordable Art Fair at the @grb_conventioncenter, and the energy among exhibitors was contagious!

It’s a long day of setting up booths, it is hard work but it feels great to do what we love 🙂

In addition to Texas galleries, many come from as far as Australia, Korea, Ireland, Mexico, and Italy to exhibit at the first edition of @affordableartfairtexas in Houston.

Calling all art lovers, connoisseurs, and art crowd to support this event. The fair runs from tomorrow, October 15, through Sunday, the 18th. Browse the works of over 50 galleries under one roof!

Prices range from $100 to under $12,000; there's a piece for every budget!

What an extraordinary weekend celebrating Salvador Dalí: The Argillet Collection at Off The Wall Gallery.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us, supported the exhibition, and helped us give Madame Christine Argillet such a warm Houston welcome. It was truly special to experience these remarkable works alongside so many friends, collectors, and art lovers, and to hear Christine share her personal stories of growing up surrounded by Dalí, her father Pierre Argillet, and their extraordinary creative collaboration.

To everyone who visited, collected, shared stories, asked questions, and spent time with us, thank you for making this weekend so memorable.

And a very special thank you to Christine for bringing not only this historic collection to Houston, but also the stories, memories, and personal history that bring these works to life.

The energy in motion within every mark in this work, “Pegasus” by Salvador Dali, pulses with bold unbridled life. Playing with the greek concept of fate, Dali used what he called “hazard objectif” (the meaningful manifestation of chance), where he often began with an abstract smudge, created in a single motion from which his forms of life flowed in mythological and in this case, majestical wonder.

Here at @offthewallgallery , we are getting so incredibly excited for our upcoming exhibition, “Salvador Dalí: The Argillet Collection”!

On view from September 15 - October 15, the collection features dozens of hand-signed etchings, original watercolors, and tapestries created through the celebrated collaboration between Dalí and his publisher, Pierre Argillet.

We will have Special Receptions on September 18, 19, and 20th. At receptions, visitors will have the opportunity to meet Madame Christine Argillet, Pierre’s daughter, who personally knew and grew up around Dalí!

Representing nature in all of its beauty, these contemplative artworks exude both serenity and energy. 🌳

Since the 1980s, Mario Jung has been painting richly-colored, dreamlike landscapes. These meditative paintings come to life though the artist’s technical skills and utilization of light, perspective, and texture. 🎨

Using the impasto technique of applying thick layers of paint, Jung builds up highly textured trees, flowers, and foliage. The layers can span up to one-inch thick, resulting in paintings that extend off the canvas with a sense of organic tactility.

Jung’s life changed drastically when he was paralyzed and defended as a side effect from a catastrophic, third-story balcony fall. He was giving up until he had a spiritual dream that renewed his strength and his will to live. Leaving doctors, family, and friends amazed, he recovered completely. Following the events, Jung developed his signature style, which is inspired by the lush scenery he saw in his dream. Through his meditative paintings, he communicates a message of hope, mindfulness, and gratitude for life. 💕
