This quarter's theme is Past Lives!

I know Deadlock was HIGHLY requested for a while now! The Meg/Op pins are my first frame-style pins and they fit very nicely on the corners of a pin board or ita bag! I'll be sharing more in hand pictures throughout the week!

Thanks so much for the continued support!

Thank you, Peter Cullen.

I hope we can be gentle and kind to one another today, and in the future. I’m sure many of us feel this loss so deeply. 🫂

I found some old traditional art from over a decade ago I did as a child. I wanted to share some of that with one more recent piece from adulthood.

I never had the honor to meet him properly, but I did have a chance encounter with Peter Cullen at TFCon LA 2024 when he was leaving his panel with Frank Welker. He was endlessly kind, even in passing. I am gutted that I’ll never get to meet him properly and thank him for all of his inspriring work. But seeing so many community members sharing their memories of him has been amazing. Everyone made sure he knew how beloved he and his work was 🩵 I thank you all so deeply for that.

Until all are one. by @yourguidingx

Before the pins, I worked 10hrs a day in a call center.

I spent my time in between calls drawing new designs on my Surface tablet (and then hiding it when the boss came around 🤣). I always got my work done & I'm sure he wouldn't have cared but I was too embaressed to let people see my art.

I was in the trenches for years. Making new designs, putting them into production, & for most of them to not sell very well. I actually still have a lot of inventory left from my early stuff back in 2021. Pro tip for anyone making merch: order WAY less than you're planning. Don't let the quantity "price breaks" convince you, you need to order more. 😭

But fast forward to 2024, at my lowest point, my orders slowed to 3 per month. But I didn't want to give up. Around this same time, my partner discovered "Kickstarter", which is a crowdfunding website to help creators make cool stuff, without some of the financial burden. It's like a pre-order website! He showed me a couple enamel pin projects that had reached HUNDREDS of backers and he convinced me my art was good enough to give it a shot.🥹

There's SO much more I want to share on this topic but I'll wrap it up for today. In short, I made my first BIG enamel pin collection called the "TF-Verse" where I made portrait pins inspired by our favorite Transforming Robots (one from each continuity) & from that point everything started to fall into place for me.

I struggle with a lot of insecurity around my self-worth & abilities as an artist. I think it's gotten a little bit better over the years but it's still my biggest area of improvement. One of the most unexpected things that has appeared from all of this, is the wholesome community we've created (especially those in our Discord). I've met some of the most talented & kind people along this journey, and for you I am thankful for 🩵 by @yourguidingx

Real things MEN have said to me in Artist Alley! 😭

This is NOT all men, just some! ‼️ (I love my small, but dedicated dude fans 🩵) Oddly, I don't think I've ever got these comments from other women. The amount of men who think I can't possibly be the artist making my robot pins is CRAZY 😭 I totally get just asking, nothing wrong with that! But after the 3rd or 4th "ask" in a mean tone, it's a little disheartening. And especially if you're going to ask my husband who's just sitting BEHIND ME if he is the artist. The other big comment I get from men is when they think I'm only making sales in the artist alley because of my "appearence". I won't go into too much detail but #1 - the majority of my customers online & in person are other women. And #2 - my online prescence was faceless/mostly faceless up until late 2025.

ANYWAY, I've been getting these comments like these for YEARS & I finally got around to making this skit about it 🤣

Have you ever experienced this in artist alley? Drop the craziest things you've been told in the comments! by @yourguidingx
