Gosh…. Thank you always feels like the most understated thing to say in moments like this…. To everyone who came out to support @yourlocalhaunt @woodland.tattoo @nicetimeglass @subjectmatterstudio and our incredible list of phenomenal vendors that came and hung with us for the day THANK YOU SO MUCH! I didn’t think this could ever happen but I have lost my voice purely from talking too much. Half the things in here were not priced, I still dont know how Bluetooth works and my receipts print off in @nicetimeglass and alas I feel so tired, so full, and so incredibly grateful. I officially opened the doors to Haunt on Friday and Reba McIntyre also happened to come out with new music and its the first time I genuinely cried throughout this entire process. I cant believe I did it. Opening Haunt is so much more than just a space I think could be fun. This is healing parts of smaller Anneliesse that I needed to prove could be capable. and universal things have happened in ways that I can only believe are those signs I am where I I am supposed to be. Like the coolest wooden horse landing in my lap from my dad. I’d love to share that story with you in here one day. I have named her blue jeans and she’s just a beautiful part of an entire array of things I absolutely love. Haunt will be open 7 days a week 11-6 Monday through Saturday and 11-4 on sundays! I hope to see you soon and I hope for all my people outside of Asheville to continue sharing the beauty of Appalachia and offering a lot of these incredible makers online too to ship nationwide! Yesterday I fell asleep in my truck when I got home and once the sleep is caught up and my feet hit the ground again I can’t wait to share all the dreams floating around in my head with you. Thank you thank you thank you. Truly. by @yourlocalhaunt

Haunt will be closed today for Memorial Day and reopen tomorrow from 11-6! I am going to take today to make some new boards, finish some garden tools and spoons and if I play my cards right maybe a set of gingko servers or two 🧡 by @yourlocalhaunt

Honest question… does anyone else absolutely dream of Halloween magic and then gets close to the day and realizes it’s all stuff they don’t want to do? Standing in lines, house parties too far to drive, the costume you almost nailed but can’t find those sequins anywhere. We’ve felt that too and this year we’ve decided the best remedy is to try and create the kind of magic we’ve always wished for this time of year. Those moments that make your heart soar and remember the beauty in connection and these mountains. Whether it’s poetry with Mackenzie Sains tomorrow, building your own apothecary with @smallmeasure on Saturday, watching practical magic projected onto haunts walls Sunday, tasting beautiful wines and going deep into the lore of them with @storycellarsessions or having a Dracula inspired dinner with @shanmcsorley THIS is our dream we wish to partake with you 🎃🧡 haunt is bursting with an array of pumpkins still needing to find their homes, great things coming in daily for fall essentials and the beginnings of holidays and beyond. Whether you’re stopping in for the day or want to join us for some magic, we hope to revel in this mountain magic with you. by @yourlocalhaunt

Our spookiest dinner to date 🎃 join us on 10/30 for @shanmcsorley third dinner in the series focused solely around the original written Dracula. She has read it in vigorous detail to find the foods of lore and will be bringing her own interpretation to Haunt with wine pairings by the one and only @riseoverrunwines to be a match made in the graveyard 🪦 tickets are officially live and will have a link in the stories! Y’all know these sell extremely fast so if you’re hoping to grab a ticket *please read in a ghoulish voice* DoNt WaIt ToO LoNg MwAH HaAa HaAa by @yourlocalhaunt

If you’ve ever come into Haunt in the last (almost) 12 months there’s a chance you’ve had the incredible honor of meeting and talking with Mackenzie. The first time she ever walked in I remember thinking to myself….. she’s the dream right hand woman. Who happens to be left handed. She’s deeply passionate about humans, love, poetry, farming, her people, and life overall. Shes got something about her that can make you feel like nothing is impossible with the right planning put in place. She also has a masters in poetry and loves to sink into poetry in the ways it is actually existing everyday within us, how we see the world and each other. This Thursday she will be hosting her second workshop at Haunt and tickets can be acquired through the link here as well as one I will put into stories! Join us Thursday and revel in an autumnal dream with drinks and food included. To me this is the dream thing to do to prepare for holiday season and cards written that come from our hearts. Some stories are better told after dark. 🕯️🍷

On October 28th, we’re gathering at Your Local Haunt for an evening of wine, strange histories, and legends that have survived for centuries.

Ghost ships along the Croatian coast. Witchcraft and superstition in old Italy. And the wines that connect us to these places and their past.

Four wines. A few unsettling stories. And perhaps a little more history than you bargained for.
