Today I hit 100 miles this month walking for @movember as we raise money and commit to movement to stop men from dying too young.

Do you have a few bucks to spare? I’m trying to raise $5K and have just under $2K left to go. LINK IN BIO to help 🖤

Men’s health statistics are horrifying:
- 80% of suicides are male despite being 50% of the pop
- More young men are taking their own lives, increasing ~15% in boys/men raised 15-24.
- globally, a man dies by suicide once a minute. 60 seconds. Insane.

Thank you as always for your support, generosity, conversation, friendship, and love.

Without it, who knows where we’d be. #movember taken in New York, New York by @yourmainmansheas

A few weeks ago we held a fundraiser for @movember at @310bowerybar and raised over $2K for men’s health. The turnout was incredible, the conversations were inspiring and the donations speak for themselves. I said a few words - here they are. Thank you @izonmi for taking this awesome video, and @tcwatrous for the amazing cover photo. If you have a few dollars to spare, we still have some ways to go to hit our $20K goal. surprising my best friend on the longest run of his life

@dominicubano25’s effort and progress training for the @nycmarathon has been nothing short of incredible. The commitment day in and day out, regardless of the weather, the game that’s on, the social event of the weekend.

As if that wasn’t enough, he’s logging these miles to raise money for @movember, an organization dedicated to stopping men from dying too young, focusing on the three major causes of premature male death: su*cide, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.

The stories Lou has shared with me this month of alone around old friends reconnecting with him - for once feeling comfortable sharing the “real life” moments, those challenges that come in far too many forms and never improve when buried deep have been powerful in their own right - have served as a powerful reminder that we are better together, and that hope exists if you let it. So let it.

Lou’s already raised over $4K through his efforts and has set a goal of raising $11K by the end of November, laddering into a larger team goal of $45,000 raised together.

One step at a time.
One conversation at a time.
One donation at a time.

Here’s to you, Lou, for being a beacon of light to so many of us each and every day.
