At first, I was hesitant to sign up, because I was not in good condition after my appendectomy surgery this July. I am thinking that I will do it next year, but hubs keep telling me to try it and do what I can. I'm glad that I conquered Dritri's strength. BONUS points that I won first place in this challenge. I'm glad I signed up for this before my next surgery 😆. Congratulations to all participants. You rock guys (lifting heavy weights in 300 reps, it's not a joke). To hubs @patricknijsters that keep shouting at me that don't give up, love you! @blntly_blsd, let's do this again next year before you go to the military. To all the coaches and staff in OTF Riverstone thank you. 👍🏅❤️✋🎉

My Love and Hate Relationship with Running
Half Marathon #12

Did I ever tell you that I don’t really like running, but at the same time, I love how it makes me feel? My love-hate relationship with running has always been there!

I didn’t follow any training plan for this race. I actually took a break from the gym because I felt like my body needed some rest. I’ve been dealing with aches and pains, and I guess I’m starting to feel that I’m not getting any younger. I still tried to run on the treadmill or sometimes outdoors, just to keep moving.

Honestly, I wasn’t sure how I would feel during this race, especially since I hadn’t trained enough. But I pushed myself, and I’m so happy that I crossed the finish line!

My love and hate relationship with running is still the same, but somehow, I managed to get through another 13.1 miles. Now, I’m just hoping my knee recovers and the pain goes away.

One thing I love about running events is seeing all the people who show up, push themselves, and keep going. They inspire me more than they know.

I may not be the fastest runner, but running isn’t always about speed. It’s about showing up, challenging yourself, and believing you can finish even when things get tough.

You don’t have to be the fastest to be proud of yourself. Sometimes, simply crossing the finish line is already a victory.

12 half marathons down! One step at a time.

🏃‍♀️🏅 Half Marathon #12

Sugar Land Half Marathon!

What a tough and HOT run! The direct sun made this race even more challenging, but I pushed myself a little harder today and crossed that finish line!

I ran with a pacer aiming for a sub-2:45 finish, and I’m proud of myself for pushing through the heat and finishing strong.

Not every race is easy, but every finish is a victory. Grateful for another 13.1 miles in the books!

12 half marathons down, and the journey continues!
