Let me tell you a story about a girl from Chicago who made her dreams into her reality.

A year before leaving for college, she experienced her first real heartbreak… losing her Nanna. At the time, she didn’t realize how deeply that pain would follow her into the next chapter of her life. She was grieving while trying to prepare for a future she had prayed so hard for, all while silently carrying emotions she didn’t know how to heal from.

She turned down 3 full rides to attend the illustrious Clark Atlanta University, even when people told her it was too expensive. Even her momma didn’t want her to go because she knew the financial burden it would bring. And truthfully… she wasn’t wrong. There were moments she almost got kicked out because she couldn’t afford tuition. She worked multiple jobs just to continue her education while trying to survive bills she couldn’t even afford herself. Along the journey came another heartbreak, painful family conflict, disappointment, and a depression so deep it made her question everything she once believed in. She watched herself set personal goals she couldn’t accomplish because survival had to come first.

But instead of giving up, she prayed. She asked God daily to give her the strength to keep going, even when life felt unbearable. And somehow, God continued to make a way out of no way. He blessed her with a village of people who genuinely wanted to see her win, people who reminded her that her story wasn’t over yet.

Today, that same girl from Chicago can proudly say she graduated from Clark Atlanta University. Through every trial, setback, tear, and sleepless night, she continued to bloom into the beautiful flower God destined her to be. Her journey broke her, shaped her, humbled her, and strengthened her. but most importantly, it proved that she was always destined for greatness.
