“I have hyperhidrosis.”💧

For many people, excessive sweating starts early — sweaty palms, soaked feet, avoiding handshakes, constantly wiping your hands, and being told you’re “just nervous.”

But hyperhidrosis is a real medical condition — not poor hygiene, and not something someone can simply switch off.

In primary hyperhidrosis, the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands become overactive, causing sweating that is excessive for the body’s actual cooling needs. Heat, stress, and anxiety can make it worse, but they are not necessarily the underlying cause. 🧠

It commonly affects the palms, soles, underarms, and face, and for some people it can significantly affect confidence, work, social interactions, and daily life.

The good news? Treatment options exist. ✅
These may include prescription antiperspirants, iontophoresis, botulinum toxin injections, medications, and in selected severe cases, surgical treatment.

If sweating is sudden, generalized, happens mainly at night, or is accompanied by other symptoms, it’s important to get evaluated for an underlying medical cause. 🩺

Hyperhidrosis deserves treatment, not embarrassment. 🤍

One syringe. A few seconds. And consciousness simply switches off 💉
Propofol enhances GABA, the brain's primary off switch, so powerfully that the reticular activating system shuts down within 30 seconds.

This is not sleep. This is a controlled, reversible suppression of consciousness at a neurological level.

Save this and share with anyone who has ever been scared of going under anesthesia 🙏

Sperm cells make up approximately 2 to 5 percent of semen by volume. The rest is a precisely engineered biological medium 🧬

The seminal vesicles contribute roughly 65 to 70 percent, delivering fructose as the primary energy source for sperm motility, prostaglandins that influence the female reproductive tract environment, and proteins that form the initial coagulum after ejaculation. The prostate contributes approximately 25 to 30 percent, adding zinc, citric acid, and prostate specific antigen, the enzyme responsible for liquefying the coagulum and releasing sperm for forward movement 💡

The result is a functional delivery system. Every component has a specific role in sperm survival, motility, and the ability to reach and fertilize an egg. Composition varies between individuals and is influenced by age, health status, nutrition, and time since last ejaculation 🏥

Semen analysis in fertility assessment evaluates not just sperm count but the entire composition and function of this system, which is why two people can have identical sperm counts and very different fertility outcomes.

That is not one contact lens. That is what happens when lenses are forgotten, lost under the eyelid, and accumulate over time 👁️

Contact lenses that are not removed can migrate beneath the upper eyelid and become trapped in the conjunctival fornix, the recess between the eyeball and the inner eyelid surface. Without proper removal and cleaning routines, multiple lenses can accumulate in this space over weeks or months, the patient often unaware because the initial discomfort adapts and becomes normalized 💡

The consequences go beyond discomfort 🚨

The cornea depends on direct oxygen exchange with the atmosphere. Extended contact lens wear reduces that exchange significantly. Lenses trapped beneath the eyelid create persistent mechanical trauma to the conjunctival and corneal surfaces, a chronic low grade inflammatory response, and an ideal environment for bacterial colonization. The infection risk in cases like this is not theoretical.

Contact lens care is not optional and it is not overcautious. It is the baseline that prevents a correctable vision aid from becoming an ocular emergency 🏥

For educational purposes only. Always follow your optometrist's specific lens care instructions 🙏

Save this and share with every contact lens wearer who has ever fallen asleep with their lenses in 🙏

That pupil is not centered where it should be, and the reason matters clinically 👁️

Corectopia is the displacement of the pupil from its normal central position within the iris. It can be congenital, present from birth as part of broader anterior segment developmental abnormalities, or acquired through trauma that damages the iris sphincter or dilator muscles, inflammatory conditions that create adhesions pulling the pupil off center, or certain eye conditions affecting the structural integrity of the iris 💡

The clinical significance depends on the degree of displacement and what caused it 🏥

Mild corectopia may cause no functional visual disturbance. More significant displacement alters how light enters the eye, potentially causing glare, monocular diplopia, or reduced visual acuity if the pupil is displaced far enough from the optical axis. When corectopia is acquired rather than congenital, identifying the underlying cause determines the treatment approach entirely.

For educational purposes only. Always consult an ophthalmologist for any concerns about pupil appearance or eye health 🙏

Some children are born with fingers that did not fully separate during fetal development. This is called syndactyly 🧬

Between weeks 6 and 8 of pregnancy, individual fingers form through a process of programmed cell death called apoptosis, where the tissue between developing finger buds is systematically broken down to create distinct digits. When that process is incomplete, the fingers remain connected by skin, soft tissue, or in more complex cases, shared bone and nail structures 💡

Syndactyly is one of the most common congenital hand differences, occurring in approximately 1 in 2000 to 3000 births. It can involve two fingers or several, appear on one hand or both, and range from a simple skin connection to complete fusion of underlying bone 🏥

Surgical separation is typically performed between 6 and 18 months depending on which fingers are involved, with earlier intervention recommended when the fusion involves fingers of unequal length to prevent growth-related deformity as the child develops.

For educational purposes only. Always consult a specialist for assessment and management 🙏

Your body has built in limitations that sound made up until you actually try them 🧬

You cannot tickle yourself because your brain predicts your own touch before it arrives, canceling the surprise response that makes tickling work. You never hear your voice the way others do because bone conduction adds lower frequencies that a recording cannot capture. You cannot watch your own eyes move in a mirror because the brain suppresses visual processing during the rapid eye movements called saccades, a phenomenon called saccadic suppression 💡

You cannot accurately detect your own everyday body scent because olfactory receptors adapt to constant stimuli and stop signaling what has become background. You cannot pinpoint the exact moment you fell asleep last night because consciousness does not switch off with a clear timestamp. Your swallowing reflex briefly pauses breathing because the epiglottis must close the airway during each swallow, making simultaneous swallowing and breathing physically impossible 🏥

Your body is running systems you have zero conscious access to, constantly, without asking permission.

Which one did you immediately try? Drop it below 👇

Most people wait until wisdom teeth are causing serious pain before considering removal. By that point the surrounding damage is often already underway 🦷

Wisdom teeth, the third molars, erupt into a jaw that in most modern humans simply does not have adequate space. The result is impaction, where the tooth grows at an angle against the neighboring molar, sits partially beneath the gum, or remains trapped entirely within the bone. The partial gum flap over an erupting wisdom tooth creates a pocket that traps bacteria and causes pericoronitis, a recurrent painful infection that antibiotics temporarily manage but cannot permanently resolve 💡

The extraction itself under local anesthesia is significantly more straightforward than the reputation suggests. Post operative care centers on one critical priority, protecting the blood clot that forms in the socket. Dislodging it causes dry socket, one of the most painful post dental complications and entirely preventable with proper aftercare 🏥

For educational purposes only. Always consult your dentist or oral surgeon for an assessment specific to your situation 🙏

The patient was awake. Fully conscious. Talking to the surgical team while a thermal probe was being precisely placed inside his brain 🧠

This is thalamotomy, a procedure where targeted thermal ablation destroys a specific cluster of cells in the thalamus responsible for generating the tremor signal in Parkinson's disease. Dr. Ali Salah performed this in Cairo on a patient who had lived with severe tremors for over a decade.

The reason the patient had to remain awake is not incidental. It is the entire mechanism of the procedure 💡

The surgeon needed real time feedback to confirm the probe was in the exact correct location. The patient was asked to move his hand continuously. The moment the thermal ablation reached the precise target, the tremor stopped. Instantly. In the middle of the operating room. With the patient watching his own hand go still for the first time in ten years 🏥

What you are watching is not a dramatic moment staged for effect. It is the clinical confirmation that the right millimeter had been found.

This is what neurosurgery looks like at its most precise and most human simultaneously.
