This week in Seattle, I got to do what I love most: inspire others through a panel discussion on belonging. But I walked away equally inspired by 2,000+ belonging leaders and culture changers from across the country.

Best of all? Reconnecting with some of my favorite people—folks dedicated to helping others feel seen, valued, and connected.

As a Black, gay, geriatric millennial navigating an increasingly complex career, moments like these remind me why I do this work. Belonging still matters. Our work still matters. And so does our JOY!

The work is personal, the joy is intentional, and the GLOW is nonnegotiable! ✨

Congratulations to Navanethem “Navi” Pillay, the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize winner!

From challenging apartheid and defending Nelson Mandela to fighting for human rights and holding those responsible for war crimes accountable, her life's work has been rooted in justice, courage, and humanity.

At a time when human rights and international law are increasingly under attack, this recognition sends a powerful message: Peace without justice is not peace, and no one should be above the law.

A well-deserved honor for a woman who has spent her life speaking truth to power, even when it was unpopular.

Congratulations, Judge Pillay! ✊🏾🌍

Know his face. Know his name. Pierre Damas Bel.

20 years old. Haitian. An honors student. A soccer player. A neuroscience major with dreams of becoming a doctor.

His family says the humiliation of being forced to wear an ICE ankle monitor and the taunting that followed, contributed to his death by suicide.

Behind every immigration policy is a human being. A family. A dream. A future.

Pierre deserved dignity. He deserved better.

What I tell people about grief: healing never ends. The process of grieving just becomes a little less challenging over time.

@kevonstage this resonated with me. Shucks.

Just yesterday, my best friend and I, both of us having lost our parents before 31, were talking about who we call now to help us navigate life, relationships, and all the shenanigans. I reminded us both that it's okay for it to still hurt. We're meant to feel it.

What gives me hope is knowing we don't have to carry that grief alone. We have each other, and somehow, love keeps finding a way to meet us where the loss lives. ❤️

Since January 11, 2024, Andrew Gillum has consistently provided insightful commentary and vital information to communities of color through The Native Land podcast, helping so many of us better understand the political issues that directly impact our lives.

Whatever has led him down this temporary detour, I sincerely hope he finds peace, clarity, healing, and light in the people around him. His voice, his perspective, and his brilliant mind are needed.

I've made mistakes. I've been in places and done things I wasn't supposed to. So who am I to judge another person's journey?

We can hold people accountable while still extending grace. I'm praying this is not the end of the story, but the beginning of a stronger chapter. by @yoursoutherngent
