Some opportunities remind you to slow down, take a breath, and remember why you started in the first place. This Saturday is one of those moments.

We are incredibly grateful to be collaborating with our friends at @unitedwayri and @waterfireprov to showcase some of New England and Rhode Island’s incredible emerging talent through The Search Showcase.

As we share the performance times and introduce the artists joining us this Saturday from 4 PM to 10 PM, we can’t help but reflect on how fortunate we are to collaborate and create opportunities for our community to shine.

The Search was built on a belief that talent is everywhere, but opportunity isn’t always equal. Sometimes all someone needs is a stage, someone who believes in them, and a chance to show the world what they can do.

“For me, this has never been just about putting on a show or competition. It’s about community, creativity, connection, and using whatever platform we have to lift others up. The more I learn, the more I realize that the greatest reward isn’t being in the spotlight. It’s helping someone else find theirs.

I’m thankful for the artists who trust us with their gifts, the partners who share our vision, and the people who continue to believe in what we’re building here in Rhode Island.

Most importantly, I’m grateful for the reminder that we all have something to contribute. Sometimes the best thing we can do is open a door, make an introduction, or give someone a chance they might not otherwise have.” Ed Brady

Join us this Saturday from 4 PM to 10 PM as we celebrate local talent, community, and the power of coming together through the arts.

Please take a moment to check out the artists, their performance times, and their work. Show them some love, share their names, and come support them if you can!

Thank you to United Way and WaterFire for helping make this possible.

More love, more opportunity, and more reasons to be grateful. Homegrown! ❤️🙏🏻

A week ago today, my stage comeback began and what a START it was. Three events in 24 hours… and the feature at AfroVerse PVD was MAGICAL - love, laughter, inspiration, and a standing ovation! See bits of it with this video by The Park Studios PVD.

Want to see more? Well, your girl is closing out the Mathewson Street stage in the Black Marketplace area of PVDFest Saturday. Come groove with me at 5:15pm!!!

Tonight’s the night!

Don’t miss my first feature after God defeated the breast cancer I was diagnosed with at the start of 2026. My healing journey continues, and the lessons and blessings were so much more than just to the body.

If you come tonight, you will experience some of the many layers who make me Alisha - like vulnerability isn’t a negative, always sing with passion, make them understand equity is critical, and always be grateful.

Thank you Vlad and Afroverse for the opportunity!
