Drawing… is the necessary beginning of everything [in art], and not having it, one has nothing.” Drawings are not only the beginnings of everything in art, though this is an important element of their value; they also facilitate the artist’s creative process by describing what is seen, visualizing what is imagined, and symbolizing ideas and concepts. Although widely used as a means for artists to conceptualize their ideas for a painting, drawing serves a variety of other functions as well. The previous Sunday's session was a drawing session and we wanted children to draw everything they have in their minds and some of them did well as they tried to express their imagination through drawing and painting. Albogast Faustin Mbeya>, Mkurugenzi Mtendaji wa Capacity Building for Youth Organization (CBYO), tarehe 23/06/2026 alipata fursa ya kushiriki mkutano ulioandaliwa na Mkuu wa Mkoa wa Dodoma, Rosemary Senyamule, @official_rosemary_senyamule katika ukumbi wa Ofisi ya Mkuu wa Mkoa.Mkutano huo uliwakutanisha makundi mbalimbali ya vijana, wadau wa maendeleo na viongozi kwa lengo la kuwashirikisha wananchi kuhusu mipango, mikakati na vipaumbele vya Serikali katika Mkoa wa Dodoma. Kupitia mkutano huo, tulipata mawasilisho kutoka Idara ya Mipango na Uwekezaji ya Mkoa ambapo tulielezwa kuhusu vipaumbele vya Serikali kwa kipindi cha miaka mitano ijayo, hususan katika sekta ya uwekezaji, maendeleo ya miundombinu na fursa za kiuchumi.Miongoni mwa maeneo yaliyosisitizwa ni maendeleo ya Msalato International Airport, mradi mkubwa unaotarajiwa kuongeza uwekezaji, biashara, utalii na ajira kwa wananchi wa Mkoa wa Dodoma na Taifa kwa ujumla. Aidha, tulielimishwa kuhusu fursa mbalimbali za mikopo kwa vijana na namna ya kuzitumia kujenga uchumi imara na kujiajiri.Pia, tulipata mafunzo kutoka Ofisi ya Mganga Mkuu wa Mkoa wa Dodoma kuhusu tahadhari dhidi ya ugonjwa wa Ebola Virus Disease. Mada hiyo ilitoa elimu kuhusu dalili za ugonjwa huo, njia za maambukizi na hatua za kujikinga, hasa ikizingatiwa uwepo wa taarifa za visa vya ugonjwa huo katika baadhi ya nchi za jirani. Elimu hii ni muhimu katika kuendelea kulinda afya za wananchi na kuimarisha utayari wa jamii katika kukabiliana na magonjwa ya mlipuko.Ninatoa pongezi kwa Mkuu wa Mkoa wa Dodoma na timu yake kwa kuendelea kutoa nafasi kwa vijana na wadau mbalimbali kushiriki katika mijadala ya maendeleo. Many of today’s youth, myself included, have grown up without fully understanding our roots and cultural identity. It was truly an honor to be among the young people given the opportunity to participate in a discussion at @bunge.tanzania with the Speaker of the Parliament of Tanzania @zungumussa and traditional chiefs from different parts of Tanzania on the future of preserving, teaching, and protecting our cultural heritage.The conversation reminded me that culture is not something to admire from a distance — it is something to understand, carry forward, and pass on. If we do not learn and preserve it today, future generations may never fully know where they come from.Grateful to be part of a space that encourages youth to reconnect with their identity and become active custodians of our nation’s traditions, values, and heritage for generations to come.
