Before you head over, here are some housekeeping reminders:
🚗 Limited free parking, allow more time to find parking.
🚗🚆 Best to carpool / use e-hailing / public transport (MRT Sentul Barat / KTM Sentul).
🚗 Drop off at drive-thru for elderly & Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
💡Those who have pre-registered, please be at your station 15 minutes prior to start time or your spot will be released.
💡If you’ve not pre-registered, walk in at least 15 min prior – limited walk in slots available!

YSDAF 2025 came to a close on 9 August at Elmina Lakeside Mall, and we’ve been buzzing from all the energy, laughter, and love you brought to the festival. From the lakeside sunsets to the endless smiles, you made every moment of our 10th anniversary, simply magical.

To everyone who showed up, be it the 7 stops of Kampung Tour or the 3 stops of Urban Tour, you guys cheered us on, and filled our feeds with your stories and posts - thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are what makes #YSDAF special.

Zuuraa set the tone just right as the sun dipped and the night came alive.🌙

With rainforest-inspired sounds blending into smooth garage rock, their mix of Malay and English songs had everyone vibing. Kids were clapping along with their mums to many adults swaying to the beat.

Calm, easy, and full of heart, it was the perfect way to welcome the night at the festival at Elmina Lakeside Mall 💫

“Ayah saya, Cikgu Abdullah, seorang guru bahasa Melayu.”

"Dollah" is more than just a story about a teacher. It’s a tender, powerful one-man play that follows the life of Cikgu Abdullah (headmaster, father, and public servant) through the eyes of his son.

Premiering in full for the first time at #YSDAF2025, Dollah - directed by Chris Ling, written by Arsyad Azrai and featuring Aloeng Silalahi - brings together Act One (first seen on the Kampung Tour) and the never-before-seen Act Two.

Though performed in Bahasa Malaysia, Dollah speaks a universal truth. Many audience members, especially adults who grew up in the public school system, found themselves reflected in its themes: the discipline, the sacrifice, the generational echoes of both mistakes and dreams passed down.

For anyone raised by educators. For anyone shaped by school corridors and family expectations. Dollah is a love letter to public school kids, and the people who raised them.

Ever seen your name in braille?👀

At this super cool booth by the Malaysian Association for the Blind, you could walk up, say your name and boom 💥 a blind person typed it out on the spot using a braille typewriter.

You get a ✨souvenir card✨ with your name in braille + a cheat sheet so you can actually read it. Not just cute, but lowkey educational too.

Everyone was so hyped to see how it’s done! The clicks, the taps, the vibe 💯
Definitely one of the most popular booths at the fest.

The perfect ending to a perfect festival night ✨

Zee Avi & The Good Things lit up the stage with groovy new sounds that had us dancing from the first note to the last 🪩 Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, she gave us a classic we all grew up with.

Yes, Kantoi happened. And yes, we sang every word. Loudly. 💃🏽🎤

A true Malaysian treasure, Zee Avi reminded us why we’ve loved her all these years, and why we’re falling in love with the new sound all over again with Zee Avi and The Good Things 💖
