The team behind KOSTKA, the first Czech student-built satellite, now in orbit. 🛰️🇨🇿

One complete KOSTKA pass over our ground station, compressed into just a few seconds. 🛰️

As the satellite rises above the horizon, our antenna tracks it across the sky while we exchange data with KOSTKA, receiving live telemetry from orbit and sending commands from the ground.

The communication window lasts only a few minutes. Then KOSTKA disappears below the horizon and continues on its next orbit around Earth.

Another YSpace team member attended the Ladybird Guide to Spacecraft Operations 2026 at ESA Academy in Belgium. 🛰️

The course focused on physiological traps in operations, how to think like an operator, and the role of operations in the satellite design process.

We’re looking forward to putting these insights into practice in our future missions!

A big thank you to @europeanspaceagency for this opportunity! 🚀 by @yspace_brno

A special moment for YSpace. 🛰️✨

At the 27th Academic Assembly of Brno University of Technology, our team received an award for an extraordinary achievement, recognizing the work behind KOSTKA and everything that brought the mission all the way to orbit. 🚀

We are truly grateful for this recognition and proud of everyone who has been part of the journey. It means a lot to have our teamwork and dedication recognized by our university. ❤️

Thank you @vut_cz and @rektorvut for the recognition and for supporting student projects like ours.

A weekend full of science, technology and space at the Festival of Science and Technology in Brno! 🛰️

We spent the weekend introducing visitors to YSpace, KOSTKA and our space missions.

KOSTKA also became part of the Zažij VUT booth, where visitors could build their own paper satellite and learn more about the mission. Big thanks to @vut_cz for bringing this activity to life!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth and joined us. See you at the next one! 🚀
