Today marks 7 years from when I departed the south to move to California. I never felt proud of being from the south until I moved. I have grown to love the things I learned from my mama, my friends, and the community that raised me from Mobile and New Orleans. I’m grateful. I channel my ancestors, my greatest grandmother Marie Antoinette Plaisance, who twirled in the streets of New Orleans in the late 1800’s. All the layers and textures of who I am continue to show themselves and inspire me. I get by (glamorously) with a little (lot) of help from my best friend @justhektor who was the absolute best companion to share my first Mardi Gras day in 7 years with

Dirt Rich is the hardest project I have accomplished thus far. It embodies 37 years of healing. It encompasses all of my creative tools. I am very proud of it. Thank you all for allowing me to share. I am excited to continue moving forward, stretching my wings, and immersing myself into new projects.

The biggest thank you to my lover forever @reynoldssebastiani who has been my inspiration from the day I met him in 2018. A huge thank you to @typo_daddy and @rosebudgallerysf for the space and all the support. Thank you to my sisters and coven @munecatheedoll & @justhektor, BUCKHAUS, my daughters @2drnk2fck & @papa.xanny, and all of my family. Thank you to @lwygal for the mannequin girlies. Thank you to @dustier_than_thou for showing me how to weld and turn trash into treasure. Thank you to @trahtahlah for the beautiful design work. Thank you to Wes for believing in me always and for supporting the merch line. Thank you to @dylusion for flawless soundscaping. Thank you to @danfickle, @elygoat, and @lukerss for seeing me and sharing your art. Thank you to @devoncito for always pushing me and believing in me. Thank you to @qaotiq.sf for giving me space to thrive. Thank you to @prattattak for being my sister. I am forever grateful to everyone involved.

The gallery hours are:
Friday & Saturday 1:00 - 5:30 PM or by appointment

We are planning a closing gathering November 22nd in the evening, so stay tuned.
