YGN004 - Worldline 1.54 @chasingshadows.music An 8-track journey anchored by the concept of a "worldline", the unique trajectory an object moves through four-dimensional spacetime, the album explores the fabric of reality, blending elements of physics and spacetime with a personal message of defiance and resilience through chaos. Fusing rough kicks with harsh metallic textures and hypnotic grooves, the album balances light with darkness through a fusion of playful and sinister colours—shifting fluidly between deep, cavernous spaces and broken-rhythmic urgency to construct a menacing yet finely tuned soundscape. As the door closes, the outside world stays behind. Inside, a space engulfed in shadow. Penumbra is a part of the shadow. The soft edge where light and darkness blur, and neither exceeds the other. We don't banish what we've buried, we gather to sit beside it. Our next event takes place Saturday, November 7th at a secret innerwest location. @livattrill @kushkusshhh @bbbbman Message for ticket access by @yugenau

YGN003 introduces @whichluke_official — a collaborative project of Ekul and fletch coming together for their debut release Null and Void. The album takes a genre-agnostic approach to industrial soundscapes, fusing Ekul’s metallic, detail-driven intensity with fletch’s harmonic yet dissonant touch. The result is a body of work that holds tension and melody in careful balance — spacious, gritty, and uncompromising. What remains after silence, is our spirit that echoes. A friendly gathering, tucked away in the forests of Dharug Country—a land protected for generations by the Burramattagal clan. Guided by our local heroes and brought to life from shared passions in our community, we capture their musical essence, locked in time on sacred soil. Episode 5 features Phia—a local veteran and leading voice in our techno community. Over the years she has shaped the scene as a promoter, producer, and DJ, curating events that have left a lasting impression and a pivotal contributor to our city’s underground scene. She is also the founder of Syllabus Recordings—an emerging label dedicated to raw, hypnotic, and immersive sounds promoting rising artists in Australia and across the globe. For this final chapter of Echoes, Phia leads us to the outer edges of dark, hypnotic techno. A set that finds its intensity not through excess, but through restraint—culminated by stripped-back selections, deliberate layering, and rising tension. Yūgen would like to acknowledge that this event was held on the traditional lands of the Dharug people and we pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.
