Meet the artists taking the stage at this year’s Americas Leadership Luncheon! This year’s program brings together musicians, makers, and performers whose work carries the rhythms, materials, and stories of the Americas onto one stage 🇲🇽 Lilian Lara @lilianlarastudio - Denver based Mexican artist working across fashion, textiles, sculpture, and installation. Rooted in rascuachismo, the philosophy of making the most from the least. 🇻🇪 Leonard Jácome @leonardjacome - Venezuelan harpist, composer, and inventor reimagining the Latin American harp by blending tradition with technology. 🇨🇱 Yugs @yugs__ - Chilean-Jewish, Denver-based artist pairing introspective indie rock with Latin grooves and dreamy synths. 🇧🇷 Group Dot BR @groupdotbr Bringing the language, literature, movement, and spirit of Brazil to the stage. 📍been meaning to make this post for a minute but have been so caught up with moving back to Denver as well as mourning that I wanted to wait until I was in the right headspace to put the right intention behind it. ♥️ 🌴I am so grateful for the last two years in LA. thank you to everyone who was kind to me, welcomed me, worked with me, or taught me something. You helped me become the person that I am today. 🎶LA isn’t an easy city, but its really inspiring being around so many creatives giving it their absolute all. I pushed myself harder than I ever did in my life (so hard I ended up in the hospital a few times). I learned discipline, boundaries, how to collaborate, and how to take myself seriously as a professional musician and producer. 💿I produced songs that I put my entire heart and soul into, that I’ll be proud of for the rest of my life. I finished Dancing In My Room, an album I had spent the last 5 years working on. I started an alternative folk girlband called @girlstupid.mp3 with @megan.winsor and @dianaathale and we got flown out to play Marcus King’s Family Reunion in Charlottesville and made an incredible project together. I learned how to play the bass so i could play in @marikodaisey band, and we played some of my favorite shows ever. I produced at songwriting camps, made sync songs, went to Durango with @elle_baez , ate soooo much Zankous Chicken with @theomareldeeb . Most of all, I hope whenever I produced, I gave artists a safe space to express themselves musically and shine - as that’s my ultimate goal in life and in music ♥️✨ ♥️LA can be a tough town, but when you have good people around you, you’ll see it is filled with so much beauty, love, and creativity. You just have to know where to look, and to look with your heart. 🌄While I’m a Denver person through and through (as my friends like to remind me, I never shut up about it), I want everyone to know I’m gonna take this chapter in LA with me in my heart for the rest of my life… …and this is a see ya later, not a goodbye 👋 🌊til next time, city of angels - keep shining 🌅 by @yugs__

✨a little video from our @kgnu performance last month to celebrate “under the stars” passing 1K streams yesterday ✨ ♥️ this is one of my favorite songs on the album - it’s a bossa nova/strokes inspired love song about loving someone so much that you want to give them the world but over the course of the song realizing you’re not meant for each other. ✍️Wrote it with Brandon Unpingco and Elyjah Bell and I co-produced and recorded it with Mitchell Gardner, Kyle Loeffler, and Miles Jenkins. ⛺️come see us play under the stars this Friday at 10 PM at @campgrounddenver at @theums with @sunstoney on background vocals! 🎥 by @elsaiedphoto #303music #yugs #kgnu #coloradomusic #dancinginmyroom by @yugs__
