When you’re a baker, you don’t just buy a birthday cake… you make your own..especially for your 50th!

I had the inspiration from another cake I saw and wanted something similar to my dress. The colour is a little off but you get the idea!

This two tier chocolate cake is filled with chocolate cream, toasted hazelnuts and crushed sfolglia with only top edible, covered in buttercream, because no one likes fondant! The dress, body and hair all edible while the decorations aren’t.

Please tell me I’m not the only baker who does this! How many of you have made your own birthday cake?

I’m officially part of the half-centurion club! 🎈

Age ain’t nothing but a number- or as they say in Italian “Gli anni passano, la classe resta”- The years pass, the class remains

Blessed to not only have my health, but my kids’, parents’ and now fiancée! Yes this happened too yesterday! 💍

I’ll admit- sunflowers aren’t on my favourite flower list- but I really like how this cake turned out! 🌼

4 layers of vanilla bean cake filled with fresh lemon curd and Italian meringue buttercream, decorated all with buttercream including the name.

Happy birthday Sofia! 🥳

So proud of my daughter and her friends for launching Bake It Forward, a new initiative created to raise funds and awareness for Red Door Shelter. ❤️

They’ll be selling delicious cookies, with proceeds going toward this incredible non-profit that supports women, children and families in need.

Come by, grab something sweet, and support a great cause! 🍪✨ Every purchase helps make a difference.

I’ve been experimenting with sugar-free desserts lately and came up with this delicious keto Key Lime Pie- now I can really can have my key lime pie and eat it too! 🥧

✨ Made with:
💚 Homemade keto sweetened condensed milk
💚 Fresh key lime juice
💚. A buttery Italian sugar-free cookie crust made with Misura Dolcenza cookies
💚. Light, fluffy whipped cream for the perfect finish

Proof that living a low-carb lifestyle never means giving up dessert. Honestly can’t even tell it’s sugar-free!

If you’re visiting Chicago, the Shoreline Architecture River Tour is an absolute must. Every minute was worth it—the views, the history, and seeing the city’s iconic skyline from the river was an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend adding this to your Chicago itinerary!

Easter baking mode: activated 🥕✨

It’s been a while since I’ve shared something from my kitchen… but I promise there’s a reason!

What a better way to celebrate Easter than with a deliciously, spiced carrot cake. The secret to making it moist- crushed pineapple! 🍍

And to make it even more delicious, threw in some coconut and walnuts 🥥
