OMK! This might be the best-valued late-night omakase in Chicago 🍣. 7 courses,( technically 8) $45 here’s the lineup + tuna tartare salad we added on which was banger 🔥

Earlier this week @chefberrygoodevents graciously invited me as his plus 1 to check out Chicagos newest hotspot for its friends and family dinner. With banger after banger at this point it’s fairly obvious @zubairmohajir is clearly the George Michael of the culinary world. His latest hit @muhajirchicago has barely opened its doors in Lincoln Park and is already being lauded as the most exciting opening this year ( and perhaps his most personal)

Celebrating the ancient spice routes that bridged continents Muhajir deliciously tells a story of immigration, culture and ultimately.. belonging.

From the bright and addictive Salabat Salad to the hygge-ish nourishment of the Wagyu Beef Cheek Nihari, every dish on the menu, however different, hammers the same sentiment home; we are all so different and that’s what makes us great together.

Eating at @haciendarealrestaurants is always a party. I’m lucky enough to be minutes away from the Geneva location at @genevacommons With summer right around the corner I CANNOT wait to enjoy their patio for the first time this season. ( also side note: is this where all the beautiful people come to eat? How is everyone here so beautiful and dressed to the tee!!!?!!🔥❤️) anyways I digress-

This time around we sat inside and pretty much ordered everything ; the tacos, the guacamole ( all 3 of em) the paella, the pulpo ceveche, the tuna tiradito (my absolute favourite ) the steak AND the tomahawk ! And ended the night with their churros and the celebration cake.

So yeah, the yum was collected 😎. Everything was banger.

This was a paid thing through TableSide media but even if it wasn’t I’d feel and say the exact same things. An absolutely killer time was had 🙏 and the service and food were top tier 🔥💯

@tenderfest was in Chicago for the very first time this weekend and it was a clucking good time🐔

@chef_ljm @chef_del08 @joefontanachicago and so many other greats slinging yums like there’s no tomorrow.

@foodgod and @bignickturturro and The Sandwich King 👑 himself @jeffmauro had @navypierchicago lit up and my favorite athlete frickin @joeychestnut broke a record eating 52 tenders. 🚀🚀

A beautiful delicious Saturday and a cluckton of yums were had. 🍗🔥

OH and there was also a 100lb chicken tender being deep fried before our very eyes courtesy of @thejoshelkin . What a time to be alive !

Huge thanks to @planes_and_plates for letting me be her plus one. 🙏

To all the vendors : thank you for feeding us so well. Hope this becomes an annual thing 🔥🔥🔥

Part 3 of #cocktailsandbites and this time the theme was caviar and martinis 🍸. 2 weeks ago I was back again at @thealleycatchicago for another night of collecting some seriously fancy yums.

Alessia from @nuvo.spirits (‘your favorite drinking buddy’) kept the martinis flowing ( even n/a ones) while Chef Jaymes from @chefberrygoodevents built a whole menu around caviar collabing with Antonio Salto, owner of @caviarpolancousa . Caviar bumps all night were straight off the back of the hand, the way the pros do it.

Big love to the sponsors who made it happen: @fourstarmushrooms @jenniveesbakery and so many others.

Here’s everything we ate
🖐️ Aperitivo - Polanco caviar bump + watermelon surprise
🥞 Blini - Polanco caviar, Snøfrisk cheese, chive garnish
🥔 Potato chips - Polanco caviar, crème fraîche, olive oil
🥚 Age Old Familiar - Polanco caviar, crème fraîche, shallots, chives, capers and hard-boiled egg
🖐️ Intermezzo - another caviar bump, because why not
🍄 Caspian Caponata - Four Star mushroom trio, onion trio, tomatoes, rainbow carrots, butternut squash, tangerine orange olive, pine nuts, honey, fresh herbs
🍫 Sweet Surprise - Polanco caviar dessert served right in the tin, with blackberries, pistachios, dark chocolate and an olive oil drizzle

Caviar for dessert was not on my bingo card, but now I need it all the time.

I have some pretty impressive friends and one of em @chefberrygoodevents just had his recipe published in @marianos ‘Who’s coming to dinner’ cookbook; a collab with @chicagochefscook showcasing over 40 recipes from some of the biggest chefs in Chicago/Wisconsin.

I’ll be posting a reel in a bit about just how amazing and meaningful this event was. This one’s just a quick shoutout to Jaymes. Proud of you big dawg. You did them mushrooms good!

Back for fresh handmade soup dumplings at @qxydumplings for the chicken and cabbage this time. Mini me saw the last video and wanted to be just like her dad. 🤣

A bonding moment and delicious yums sounded like 2 perfectly acceptable reasons to make the hour drive 😍

What’s your go to order here? What should I order next ?
We grabbed the wagyu + onion and lamb + cumin as well
