[Uncracked] - This work reimagines the ‘Heart Egg’ motif from the anime Shugo Chara! as a physical object representing personal dreams and inner identity. A glowing resin egg surrounded by an Art Nouveau inspired aura floats above the viewer’s head, suggesting a living inner self that moves with the body. In contrast, a second form presents a shattered egg embedded into a flattened structural frame, symbolising individuality absorbed into social systems. [Golden Gestures] - This project examines how fine dining experiences satisfy the human desire for recognition through ritualised service. Referencing Lacan’s Desire Graph, the installation frames fine dining as a staged performance that symbolically “serves” recognition to the guest, reflecting the desire to be treated as an important person. Inspired by the choreography of servers and the structured sequence of course meals, two sets of graphic pages were developed: one visualising table settings and silver service, and the other mapping the backstage-like movements of servers as route diagrams. The paired pages are inserted through slits and folded like napkins, allowing viewers to pull them out and explore the sequence of service. Participants held clay between their hands, leaving compressed traces that were scanned, transformed into graphics, and printed onto a large fabric sail. Installed on a wooden frame by a riverside, the sail responded to the wind and environment, causing the image to constantly shift. [The Girl Thing] - This project explores “girlish aesthetics” as a visual language of female friendship, solidarity, and self-presentation. The work takes the form of a zine like brochure and kiss-cut stickers, creating a playful propaganda kit that celebrates and spreads girlhood. The printed stickers can be worn and shared, turning the act of decorating one another into a small gesture of connection and solidarity.
