Thanks so much to Judit (@j.sinhache) and Laura (@artinmustard ) for putting together such a beautiful show ✨

It was really lovely meeting so many people and seeing the mix of styles and approaches all in one space, made it feel very alive.

If you’d like to catch Layer of Us, it’s on until 7th May at @whitespace76, 10–16:30.

There’s also a wee collage corner at the back with some brilliant materials if you fancy making something yourself 👀

Thanks for having me 🤍

Did you know Schiedam was once the jenever capital of the world? 🧐 And did you know that, while women were often overlooked in the industry, they played an important role behind the scenes, such as hand lettering labels to bottling and handling the finer details that rarely made the spotlight? Hence the beautiful ladies featured on two of the labels. 🥰

The third piece is a bit of an odd one next to the other two, but it’s more of a nod to to exhibition’s theme of Past, Present and Future of Schiedam and how stories and history are passed down through generations.

Made with the mystery box of vintage Schiedam materials we were sent by @socialgluecollagefestival ✂️

Haven’t really shared much about it yet, but now that I’ve posted off a few pieces to the Netherlands 💌, I feel ready to say I’m excited to take part in @socialgluecollagefestival exhibitions this September in Schiedam 🇳🇱✨ It’s all part of the city’s 750th anniversary, with the theme Past, Present, Future. They sent us this mystery box full of vintage bottle labels, some pages of old Schiedam mags, and more recent bits too! A really fun mix to dig into. Can’t wait to show you a few pieces of mine, and to see what the other collagists have created with the pieces they got! 👀✂️
.
.
.
 #socialgluecollagefestivalschiedam2025 #collagestash #edinburghcollagecollective #collagecollective #kunstwerkt #schiedam #handmadecollage #collagecomposition #grafikmedia #thecollageclub #posterdesign #contemporarycollage #poster_coaster #albumcoverart #albumcovercollage #albumcoverdesign #abstractcollage #yurgavas #jurgitavas #contemporaryart ⁣⁣#collagesociety #kolaj #collageartist ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣#9tographics #analogcollage #koliažas #cutandpastecollage #vintagepapers #mixedmediacollage taken in Edinburgh, United Kingdom by @yurga.vas
