Some pics from our unexpected food tour of beautiful Sorrento yesterday 🍋

Both spots recommended by our hosts - and they nailed it!

@parrucchianosorrento for lunch - hidden behind a non descript doorway stands the most beautiful garden restaurant with the most amazing food and wine.

✨@soulandfish_restaurant for dinner at the marina. Modern, Michelin listed restaurant with nice vibes and even nicer seafood and wine ❤️

A whole decade of Xavier!
You arrived like a dream - divine, cheeky, and full of light.
Now you talk non-stop, question everything, dance through life, and lift people up without even trying.
You don’t just make us laugh-you notice what others miss, and you feel what’s unsaid.
You are joy in motion.
You are our best unexpected gift.
And you are so, so loved.
Happy 10th Birthday, Shishy.
Keep shining loud. Love your mama xo by @yvettedugina

Five years ago the world changed.
Lockdowns began. Borders closed. Life as we knew it stopped.

Some people remember the stillness, stripping back to the things that mattered. I remember that, but I also remember something else.

The energy: heavy, fearful, and negative, especially in Melbourne.
Connection disappeared, not just across borders, but between people.
Families divided. Friendships strained.
Compassion replaced was with compliance.

I remember my kids' drawing rainbows on the footpath writing “Be Kind” in chalk. It felt like a symbol of hope at the time.
But now, it feels like it was more like a quiet plea.
Because kindness wasn’t always there - at least not for everyone.

Like so many others, I lost my job. I was shut out of shops. I was excluded from public spaces. I wasn’t allowed into my child’s school - not because I was sick, but because of a personal health choice.

I watched what it did to people. To kids. To families. To friends.
And it wasn’t COVID that caused the damage. It was the response.

So many of us are still carrying hurt from those times.
Even if we don’t always talk about it in public— we still talk together in “safe spaces,” while others just tell us to move on.

I think many would rather forget that time, how they acted, the sides they chose. But I don’t think we’re meant to forget. I think we’re meant to remember, so we don’t repeat it.

I’m not the same person I was five years ago. And I’m thankful for that. I’m learning to let go, to grow from the experience, but I will never forget.

I’m not sharing this to divide - I’m sharing it, so we remember. Even if it’s uncomfortable. Especially then. by @yvettedugina

Happy birthday my beautiful Philippa June.
What a year! You have grown so much but you are still the same. Head strong and fierce, yet so loving and kind. I’m sorry we didn’t get to Paris this year but we will very soon.
Love you forever my darling xx
