From small beads to the biggest night in Hollywood! 🎬✨

It was such an honor to see the incredible Yvett Merino carrying her bag adorned with my custom Nerdbead pins at the 2026 Oscars. Watching my handmade work travel from my studio to the Academy Awards stage is a dream come true. Thank you, Yvett!

A huge, heartfelt thank you to the amazing stylist Ariel Tunnell for making this moment possible and for believing in my art!

Handcrafted with love, worn with style.

We are honored to welcome @yvettmf Oscar-winning producer with @Disneyanimation Studios, as a Keynote Speaker for our Luncheon

A proud Mexican American film producer, Yvett made history as the first Latina to win the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature for “Encanto,” a film that celebrates culture, family, and the beauty of our stories. Yvett is the only producer in animation history to have two films cross $1 billion at the box office in a row, doing so with the BAFTA Award-winning, Oscar-nominated “Zootopia 2” (2025) and “Moana 2” (2024).

Her achievement is more than a milestone. It expands what is visible and possible for Latinas across industries. When one of us stands on a global stage and is recognized at the highest level, it affirms that our creativity, leadership, and lived experiences belong at the center.

At Latina History Day, under our theme Piece by Piece: Building Power, Unlocking Possibility, Yvett’s journey reminds us that the stories we tell shape how we see ourselves and how future generations dream.

Join us as we celebrate leadership, legacy, and the history we are building together.
