Shoutout to everyone on this journey for real, y’all were the difference makers and key parts of what kept me going through injuries, ineligibility, trouble😂 and much more. I’m a real testament that God CAN, HAS, and WILL lead you too so much more than you can imagine if you put your trust and faith in him. I’ve never been perfect, but the great thing about my God is that no matter what mistakes I make or trial and tribulations come my way, He’s there with me every step of the way telling me to do my part. ⭐️On this week’s Player Spotlights, we’ll be covering 6’6 Austin, Texas Forward; Jeffrey Selden. The rising redshirt senior is coming off of a very solid year over at Faulkner University, where he helped them attain a 20-10 record while also reaching the SSAC NAIA First and Second round Playoffs.

📊Jeff put up 8.3ppg, 5.7rpg, 2apg and just under 2 steals and 1 block per game. He shot 50% from the field, just under 25% from the 3pt line and 79% from the free throw line.

.
‼️What makes Jeff a standout player is his ability to be a two-way threat both on offense and defense. On the offensive side he was a multi-versed threat, being able to score in Pick and Rolls, Pick and Pops, slips, and even off of post ups or off the dribble situations off the catch against mismatches. On top of that, he was able to constantly exploit teams off of over-helping situations or double teams to be able to find an open teammate for easy shot opportunities.

🔒 As far as the defensive side goes, Jeff was constantly active using his 6’6 frame to jump gaps for steals, be able to switch onto any position and guard players very well and even come in for well timed blocks in 1on1 or off help side situations.

📶Now when it comes to areas where Jeff can continue to grow, offensively if he’s able to keep on developing his ability to play off the dribble more and more comfortably as well as being more confident and consistent in his catch and shooting ability; He’ll be able to turn himself into a very versatile threat at the 3 or 4 position that can both make opposing teams pay inside and space the floor.

🦁Now having transferred to Florida Memorial University for his senior year, Jeff is no doubt going to make instant noise and impact for a hungry lions squad on both ends of the floor while instilling the winning culture and experience he’s able to bring to the table.
