Had a lot of fun this year at @woodstockhausen! Beyond working audio with @gelusopaul and @l__eshy at the shows, I got to rig and run the Ambisonics installation, which featured 8-channel works by Michael Schumacher, Adam Zaretsky, Later Days, and Rip Hayman. Could not have done it without @erichbarganier to reach the high places! taken in Turquoise Barn by @yyzsound

Super late on this one but if you're attending AES this year...

I will be presenting my paper "Part of the Band: Virtual Acoustic Space as a Participant in Musical Performance"

Tuesday Oct 8th, 11am in 1E04

I will be a panelist in "Recent Advances in Volumetric Recording Techniques for Music Production"

Tuesday Oct 8th, 2pm in 1E06
(Playing some immersive mixes!)

I will be moderating the Room Acoustics session (yay first session moderation!) Wednesday October 9, 2024 9:30am in 1E04.

I'll also be presenting "Virtual Acoustics Technology in the Recording Studio-A System Update" in this session.

And then I think I might collapse. At least, when I'm not co-chairing convention Facilities as a committee member... by @yyzsound

Had the wonderful opportunity to moderate a panel on the current working definition of Audio for Cinema for the @aes_org Fall 2021 Convention. Panelists were all amazing, and special thanks to @spikesplayfood for putting this together. If you have registered for the convention the session will be available on-demand into November! by @yyzsound

The AES show’s technical program starts tomorrow! Usually Javits Center would be knee-deep in Shure-branded lanyards at this point but not 2020. This year I’m Co-Chairing Volunteers along with @parithaiberry. Being on the committee for a completely virtual convention means that 1. I spent 45 minutes today coming up with three polite ways to ask someone to stop spamming the chat and 2. I’ve spent a really long time staring at the livestream schedule (@aesshow.com). It’s going to be a good one, despite it all. Hope to see some of you in the chat window! by @yyzsound
