GMW Z4 GT4 inspired Time Attack Build.

It goes pretty fast after awhile. Bare engine bay to@motor and trans mounted in 30 min. Built LS1 with custom cam from @j.toona.tx.

Mid plate and motor plate done with motor behind front axle.

Next up finish the exhaust and start the wiring.

From mock up to reality. This massive @ajhartmanaero wing looks great on the Z4. Also loving the wide body. Now that the wing is mounted it’s time for disassembly and off to powder coat

Couldn’t build the baddest Z4 without side exit headers. I had to get one made to know how much of the frame to cut away and box in. This and mounting the wing were the last things needing to be done to get it to powder coat.

A lot of work went into getting the chassis stripped down to bare medal and finalizing the cage. FIA bars, gussets, front strut bars all done. A little bit more work till it was ready for powder coat. Peep the last photo and you’ll get a sneak peak of the exhaust setup.

Right after I removed the tall jack stands that were holding the car up in the air. One of the scariest parts of the build so far. 😬😁

In order to get all of the undercoating off of the car, I decided to build a rotisserie so I could flip the car on its side or even upside down. The first rotisserie I used back in 2010 was very sketchy. I decided this one was not going to be that. I definitely overbuilt it. taken in Fort Worth, Texas by @z4_gt4
