I'm very excited to announce our first virtual Filmmaking Workshop! Location Sound, hosted by David L. Minard on April 16th. David is a production sound mixer and has been professionally recording the invisible since 2010.

With more than 50 narrative film and countless commercial productions to his credit, he is excited to share the knowledge he's gained from his experiences to help jumpstart your path into sound.

Who is this workshop for?

Very excited to share that the pilot I captured sound for, Born Again, has been selected as an Official Selection at @seriesfest Season 12!

About a year ago, a group of ambitious film friends dove headfirst into a 48-hour film fest (a classic filmmaker side quest). It was wild, fun, and somehow we ended up with a 10-minute film—questionable decision, good memories 🎥✨

We wrote, shot, and edited it in one weekend, premiered it Sunday night, and to our surprise it took home Best Overall Film, Audience Choice, and Best Director at the True West Film Center in Healdsburg.

With more than 50 film productions to his credit, he brings the expertise required to capture clear and detailed sound on location.

David is excited to join Cabin Time with filmmaker friends new and old, and looks forward to bringing its nuanced and relevant story to life.

Fun fact: David is also an avid partner dancer and has been cuttin’ rugs since 2000. He primarily dances Fusion and can be found dancing all around the San Francisco Bay Area. by @z9.media
