@zsonictherapper let me come out of hiding and busss a skeeeraaatxch🥳🥳

Shout out to @heath_heathen for letting me hold on to this sweet sweet Vestax PDX 2000👌 until today I thought this turntable was broke af becuz it was rattlin like techno maraca and I thought the inside was all busted apart 😅

Shout out to @kuhldjskeem for being hella honest when I asked him if he wanted the turntable to build some cool af 💩 but he told me it was just the nuts from the feet rattlin around, and yes I checked with scientists and 9/10 scientists agree that feet have nuts

I unscrewed the back of this jawn took out the loose nuts and propped this up on some technic feet and now we cookin🤘🤘🔥🔥

Thank you ultra pitch💯👌

Shout out to @djqbert and @thudrumble for the str8 up deloyshus vinyl record discs!

Let me know in the comments if you want more skratchy vidz from moi and I’ll make sure @zsonictherapper says it’s ok 😎

😎3 life-changing tips for transforms⚡️

I love helping people improve their DJ skills and their lives. Incorporate these three tips into your daily practice and your skratches and you’re life will get better💯

Let’s get to them sweet, sweet tips!🥳

1️⃣Relax and feel good in your body at the start of every practice😎

Before I go into a scratch practice I like to check-in with my body, take a deep breath, and feel good and relaxed.

Relaxing can apply to any scratch, not just transforms. Anytime you practice, take a deep breath and check in with your body, exhale long and smooth, and allow the funk to flow.

2️⃣Keep the fader motion as minimal as possible🎚️

Whether you’re making long notes or short notes, moving fast or slow, keep your fader moves as short as possible.

Use as little effort to create just enough movement to open and close the fader in a relaxed and easy way.

You only need to move the fader a little bit to turn on the sound.

Aim to move in a relaxed and efficient way. Each one of these tips stacks on each other.

If you follow tip one and you’re relaxed, then you stack on tip number two, you train yourself to build relaxed, efficient movement that will lead to better control, speed, and smoothness while reducing the risk of injury.

3️⃣Practice rhythmic ideas with the fader only🎶

Don’t worry about moving the record. Focus on relaxed, efficient fader movement while creating musical ideas.

Use a really long tone or loop a tone in your DJ software. In the video I’m using a Serato control record. There are skratch records with really long tone as well.

Practice mixing up long notes and short notes, and fast and slow rhythms, to create musical phrases.

Relax and feel good, keep your fader motion minimal, and practice musical phrasing and your skratching and your life will improve💞

Feel free to ask me any questions in the comments. I’m always down to talk about skratching and music.

I’m grateful to be a part of DJ history🥰

On November 11th 2024 I was blessed to receive the world’s first 8” Skratch Record from @djqbert - The Super Seal 8”er 🦭

It felt like a Sword in the Stone moment. When Q pulled the record out and started talking about how it was going to change portable skratching I could see the light coming down from the Heavens and I felt a strong need to- I had to have that record💯💯💯

I pushed through the crowd and powered past to super big dudes to get close enough to say that I wanted the record. I’m grateful to @kuhldjskeem for hosting the skratch session with Q and for letting Q know ZSonic def deserved this record🤘🤘😎😎

When I put the record on @kuhldjskeem’s custom made portable it felt so amazing!! I could feel the power⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️

I’m grateful to @djhighnoone for throwing one of the most legendary legendary parties of all time 🥳🥳🤩🤩 I’m grateful for the slipmat in picture 4 that shows the wicked awesome lineup at @funkontherooftop DJ Thanksgiving🌟🌟

I’m grateful for all the amazing DJs that skratched on all those beautiful turntables in pictures 5 and 6

I’m grateful for @booma2000 for taking the super dope snap in picture 1 😎😎

I’m grateful for @djqbert signing the super seal 8”er shown in pictures 2 and 3🌟🌟🌟🌟

I’m grateful for my super cutey cat Zula in picture 7 showcasing the Extra Terrestria shirt with Qs signature

And I’m grateful for my Vestax PMC07 mixer - RIP 🪦 I’m grateful to still have the removable faceplate thingy

I’m grateful for the @thudrumble Dirstyle 30th Anniversary Four pack shown in the last two pictures - also signed by Q🤩🤩

Thank you to all my friends out there and all the creative people doing cool things 🥳🌟🤩 Stay shining 🌟🌟🌟

I’m proud to have @vekked flop me

The bar for Flip Or Flop is high this year🔥
25 people entered and only 6 got a flip. I’m among the 19 flops😅😰

At first the hurt was deep but upon reflection I’m glad I got flopped. I totally agree with the Flop ruling and am excited to level up my skills for the next one

I learned a lot from entering this battle. It was a lot of fun🥳🥳

My main takeaway is to start building the routine by experimenting and coming up with something unique that no one else would do

Overall I’m pretty pleased with my submission. Especially since I made this in two hours while being sick with a head cold🥶

Also, I want a new mixer

There are still 7 weeks left in the main season for the @fliporflopofficial battle. The prizes from @pioneerdjglobal are insane🥳🥳 and last nights stream got the jackpot prize up to over $1000💸💸💸 wooo!! Already an amazing season💖💖

If you’re a DJ and you want to level up your skills don’t hesitate to join this battle💯💯💯 it’s super fun. The people are awesome and you’ll learn a lot🔥💗🔥💗🔥💗

I won the Halloween Flip or Flop battle🎃❤️‍🔥🥳

Big thank you to @vekked for hosting the battle! I’m excited for Season 7 of Flip or Flop🥳🥳 let’s goooooooooooo❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Some of the Skratch samples are from the new @thudrumble @djqbert 30th anniversary records

I also used “Zombies” by @thegyptianlover - he makes some of the dopest electro🧟⚡️

I’m pretty pleased with this routine considering I put it together in only a couple hours and only ran through the routine about five times to get this take. In the past I probably would’ve taken like at least 50 times to get a take I’d want to submit for the battle😂😂

It’s so fun to create routines and scratch🥳🥳🥳

What’s ur fave sample on this Million Dollar beat?

1 - Yeah from @zuckell training wax
2 - Aaww Yeah
3 - Dance moves
4 - ow
5 - yeah from @thudrumble 1000mph backsliding Turkey Breaks

I’m thinking about building a scratch routing with this beat and I’m wondering what samples sound the dopest
