Wow, so Italy. Back in August I went to Italy for the first time to participate in the @crdancecompany @tecnichedidanzamoderna summer intensive. Not only was this my first time in Europe, but it was my first time learning Graham technique. Also, I didn’t know for sure if I could attend until about 2 weeks before the intensive began, and I found out about it and was invited to attend about a month before it took place! The stars aligned and I got many divine God sends that encouraged me to go! I am forever grateful for @caterina_rago_crdance for seeing potential in me, and being willing to have me participate in this opportunity. I had the most amazing time, and I met incredible people everywhere I went. Even with some language barriers, I was able to connect with my peers from Italy and many other places. I can’t imagine having had this experience with anyone else, even though I showed up not knowing anyone! I’m grateful to everyone who encouraged me to take the risk and go! I’m grateful to everyone I met who made it worthwhile! I am hoping we all dance together again soon!!! Thank you to Caterina’s AMAZING team, @antoniioleone @dancingmicah and @anna_lisaferrante who were so generous and patient with me, answering all my questions and making sure I truly contracted and scooped! After much deliberation and conversation with my wife, my business partner, and my best friend, she convinced me not to put this on YouTube, but to enter it into film festivals instead, because she felt it truly spoke to her and moved her in a way that deserved that kind of platform. I apologize for not being able to share it sooner, but soon you’ll be able to see it. I also want to thank Azaria again for trusting me and my team and allowing us to come in and get to know her story a little bit. I can’t wait to share it with all of you. This year has tested me deeply, losing my first love and facing a slowdown in business. I even had a cancer scare last year but God is good. Still, I’ve lived by my mantra: work while you wait. When I’m not on a project, I bless strangers with documentary shorts, giving their stories the same care I would a high-end client. It’s been my therapy and often theirs too. I’ve learned that serving is the best way to overcome despair and keep hope alive while waiting on God’s promise. I promised God I’d continue this practice, even in busy seasons, to stay grounded and to lift others up. Thank you @z_visuals2108 for allowing me to tell a fraction of your story. Thank you @candorvisuals for capturing the bts magic. by @z_visuals2108
