Hey! This has been a massive year for me, with so much life change, and it’s time to update my business to reflect what’s been going on internally.

The past 12 months have been an absolute roller coaster to say the least haha. I got divorced, hit the milestone of 10 years of photographing weddings, turned 27, and have stripped my business and approach down to the studs to rebuild something better.

The name “The Greens Photo” came from a period of a few years where my wife and I were operating as a husband-and-wife team. We were The Greens, we took photos - genius. Eventually she started pursuing another career, and it made sense to stop using “we” and “us”, since it was really just me at that point. But, The Greens Photo is what I’d built, and what NYC knew me as.

Now that we’re separated, and have been for most of a year, the name The Greens Photo has felt just off. I’m just one Green now haha. At the same time, I’ve been experiencing a true renaissance as an artist and as a business owner. I feel more confident in my vision and my approach than ever. I’ve connected with some of my industry heroes and they’ve been so generous with me. I’ve booked more than ever - surpassing last year by the middle of September. And I feel more Zac than I have in a long time.

So hey - I’m Zac Green, I’m just going by my name now, and I’m very excited for what’s in store :)

Lainey & Dima!

An elegant outdoor ceremony at the most stunning venue - @purslaneattheboathouse.

Lainey and Dima are so sweet and so so over the moon for each other.. I don’t know if you’ve ever met a boy as obsessed with a girl.

Then they kicked the party off on a classy black and white checkered dance floor…need I say more? I think the party photos speak for themselves!

I was over the moon to get to work with longtime friend and inspiration @virgilbunao last summer on a stunning wedding day across 620 Loft and Garden, St. Bartholomew’s, and the iconic Rainbow Room. Despite getting to photographing weddings for over 10 years at the time, I’m always eager to work for, learn from, and just soak in the presence of the best of the best, and Virgil is the peak. I wrote down after working with him “Virgil seemed *so calm* when I first joined him on the day. I’m very calm on wedding days but it was the kind of presence that inspired me to double-check on the energy that I bring to a day.

Anyway. I could go on and on. But I’ll wrap up by saying that when I was first moving to NYC now four years ago, these venues were on my DREAM list - ones that I knew I’d just felt like I’d made it here if I ever got to work at. And look at me now, Florida Zac :) You’re on your way dude

Throwback to one of the my favorite maternity sessions I’ve shot to date!

Caroline was absolutely glowing when we took these on Long Island. Ben clearly agreed with the way he couldn’t stop looking at her. <3

Jessica & Dan said I do at @wythehotel!! Woohoo! 🥂

The gorgeous rooftop view during their ceremony was accompanied by the most perfect sunny day! And I could not get over how beautiful Jessica’s dress was (hello pearl straps!!)

I’m so thankful for my friend Katherine recommending them to me, as this turned out to be an all-time wedding and an all-time couple :). I felt so completely trusted creatively the entire day, which I really believe led to some beautiful work and lots of ease capturing the splitsecond moments on my part. The whole day was perfect… and then we ended the night at Dolly’s eating everyone’s late night fave (or at least mine) pizza from Joes!!

I don’t know if I’ve ever had a session full of so much laughter and joy (which you know I’m allll about). These two are some real deal sweethearts and the exact kind of couple that make my job the best in the world.

These two are clearly made for each other and it was an honor to spend the morning with them around their neighborhood ahead of their wedding this month:)
