What a night. Walking across the Main Stage at New York Comic Con 2024 in my completed Mysterio suit was nothing short of surreal. I never thought I’d get the chance to share something I poured so much into on such a huge platform. While I didn’t place in the awards this time, the experience of being up there, feeling the energy of the crowd, and hearing their reactions made all the work worthwhile. It was a dream come true after so many months (I guess years at this point) of hard work.

To keep it real, things didn’t exactly go smoothly backstage. I had quite a few technical issues right before stepping out, with half the lights in the chest piece giving out at the worst possible moment do to a popped solder and several battery’s dying with no backup packs. But hey, what’s cosplay without a few challenges, right? Though I will surely thank them again later, @paladinsofcosplay, @gabbi.pulasky, and @the.grumpydragon saved my life this weekend. I must have visited their booth six times over the course of two days for extra hot glue, super glue, or even a SOLDER REPAIR (which was insane of them to offer, I owe them so much!) Even with these setbacks, I managed to walk across that stage at 7pm after nearly 48 hours of backpain and muscle fatigue, bringing the magic to life. Hearing the audience’s response gave me all the fuel I needed to keep going.

A massive thank you to everyone who’s supported me along this journey. I’m beyond grateful for this community, and I can’t wait to share more photos and videos from the event in the next few days! PLUS, a making of video that has long been in the works. Streets are saying there might even be a studio shoot down the line. Stay tuned fishbowls—there’s plenty more to come. 🔮💚

The Fanasti-Watches have been shipped out‼️This was such a fun project to take on, thank you to everyone who supported this limited run! I cannot wait to see your watches in use! I am enormously proud of where V2 ended up. Switching from a Gun-Metal finish to a retro futuristic MIRROR CHROME was a huge upgrade, nevermind the new black-and-white bands. Very grateful to have a community and platform that lets me do cool stuff like this with you all! I will be wearing my watch at NYCC on Friday, so more photos to come of it in use.

The Legendary Star-Lord will Return💫📼

WOOHOOO!!! A NEW BUILD POST! FINALLY! These Quad-Blasters were such a joy to make, it was so much fun combining a bunch of new finishing techniques that i’ve been wanting to try out for a long time. This build used Vapor-Smoothing, Hydro-Dipping, airbrushing, chroming, AND some heavy weathering. I was like a kid in a candy shop, and I couldn’t be more proud of the outcome.

I made these Quad-Blasters for @thehocospidey’s upcoming Star-Lord costume for this year’s NYCC, but i’ve been wanting to build them since I started 3D printing 4 years ago. I learned a lot in the process (no one judge my terrible hydro-dipping form - the dip on the video was not the one I stuck with) and discovered my new favorite mirror-chrome paint that will definitely now be used on the new run of Fantasti-Watches going out this month (win win!). The heat-scarring on the tip of the guns were surprisingly difficult, but I do think I get better each time I do it. Layering gradients is harder than it looks y’all - lemme know if you have any tips! Looking forward to seeing these with the full Quill outfit, stay tuned for those posts sometime next month.✨🔫

The Fantasti-Watch ④🔹

If you’ve been following along with my stories, you’ve known about this project for some time. This replica smart watch features four movie-accurate screens (with 1 additional slot filled by the four-finger-meme, pictured here) as well as a button activated alarm and custom sound slot. I spent a lot of late nights planning, prototyping, modeling, and cramming micro-electronics into a ridiculously small space to make this work, ensuring movie accuracy stayed at the forefront of the design. I am beyond proud of this final product and elated to finally share it with you all!🔥

🔹 Features:
– Plays movie-accurate animations on a 1.14” display
– Button to switch between screens instantly
– USB-C Rechargeable battery for portability
- Around 2 hours of continuous battery usage
– Button activated sound effects

This one was a huge challenge, but I’m so proud of how it turned out. I am happy to say this project is 100% home-brewed, handmade, and will be accessible in a LIMITED RUN for anyone looking to add to their F4 Cosplay. Not only that, each watch is customizable when ordering, buyers can choose 1 custom screen and 1 custom sound effect of their choosing. I will have 10 slots open starting this sunday for order, first come first serve (more information available when that listing goes live! Keep your eye out for my story/post in a few days). How about that finale?!? No major spoilers here, but damn i’m excited for S2! A few months back, @aegidiusdesigns and I FINALLY got our Joe Quesada moment in person, no longer oceans apart. We both knew we had to get this shot, and thank God we did - right in time for Born Again! @multiverse_shooter cooked with these, I couldn’t believe it when I first saw them. In a world where Marvel never sold Sony the rights, maybe we’d have gotten a scene like this. Surely some are taking advantage of that blackout👀. Maybe this pic could answer the question of where Spider-Man is in that last episode…all his rogues are loose on the streets!🪬🔮
