The day is finally here and we couldn’t be happier to announce that our debut album “decoder” is OUT NOW on @jealousbutcher records!!

We’re so grateful to our producer @criticalfunk and producer/engineer @zachbloomstein for helping us fully animate the vision of these songs. To @jackpotrecording for giving us a beautiful space to let our creativity run. To @amy__dragon for her tender hand in mastering and cutting our vinyl lacquers. To the incredible artists who graced our tracks with their talents and elevated these songs beyond anything we could’ve imagined: @e._ellison @kyleen_king @machadomijiga @haleyjohnsenmus @presidiomusic @jennycd

We’re so grateful to the photographers and directors who have captured us to help share our story along the way! Photo 1: @juliavargaphoto Video 2: @kayleekotkinsart Photos 5-10: @photojq

And we are so deeply grateful to Rob Jones of @jealousbutcher for being the greatest cheerleader and advocate we ever could’ve found.

Thank you @painfullyoptimistic and @charmschoolmedia for all of efforts in getting these songs heard!!

Thank you @susiemakesart and @groundcontroltouring for putting us on such EPIC stages to perform these songs.

Thank you to Portland, OR (we are so proud to be yours) and to every single person who has ever come to one of our shows, every person who has sung along with us, every person who’s showed up dressed as a glittered out disco fox. Tour starts Sept 2 and we can’t wait to play these songs live for you. ❤️❤️❤️ by @zachbloomstein

Been sitting on this song for quite some time and it’s finally out!! I think I played The Lesson at my last album release show like 3 years ago which is totally wild. Time flies and in many ways I have since *learned* The Lesson, finally. If you haven’t learned yours yet I can’t promise you this song will help, but maybe it will help you feel less alone in your masochistic stubbornness :)

Art by genius @coltycodyart who has vision like no other
Produced by the ever talented @zachbloomstein
Drums by my first ever bandmate and truly one of my fave musicians @josephmarshalloconnor
Bass by my groovy lover @max.field.music
Guitar by absolute shredder @tilleykomorny - her solo at 3:41 is so crazy good and sends me every time
More guitar by the brilliant Grace Haggerty, who wrote one of my fave guitar parts EVER for this song (the one at 3:01)
Mastered by the goat @amy__dragon 🐐🐉
Recorded at the iconic @jackpotrecording

Thank you so much to all who worked on this song. It’s the first single off of my upcoming album (also called The Lesson), the rest of which I can’t wait to share. For now, happy streaming! by @zachbloomstein

Massive congrats to @norsehorse on the release of her new album. I loved working on this with you! Thanks so much for the trust throughout the entire process.

New music out today! Pitter Patter is a collection of 3 leftover songs from Gist. The characters are much more wholesome, the arrangements more colorful, and the performances a bit looser. Give it a listen if you have a spare 8-9 minutes today. Thank you to:

@chlomaybe for doing such a great job painting the cover art. The process was really fun and breezy. Thanks for bringing the ideas to life and adding your own touches along the way.
@mcnabbalaba for learning the songs through mnemonic devices and training on drums for a month before studio session
@zachbloomstein for taking the time to understand what I’m going for on each track during recording and mixing. You’ve restored trust and confidence in my own taste.
@trevorvillagrana for lending your pedalboard and learning some tricky guitar leads. Trevor is a bartender. I don’t drink cocktails enough to know if he’s any good but he’s very fast.
Hannah for adding your beautiful voice on “Leave This Skin”
@adamgonsalves for handling mastering. Always quality stuff
95% of recording was done @jackpotrecording here in Portland, Oregon. Great experience. by @zachbloomstein
