“Hey love - yeah it’s me and I’m calling from the red phone. You should come to @nokissesbar Friday night and get down.

I’m pulling boogie, modern soul, and 80s funk records for a night under the ceiling lights.

Cool cool. And one more thing - do you really love me?” taken in No Kisses by @zachpleasant

Two weeks in Kenya and Zanzibar exceeded our expectations. We toured Nairobi and took a cooking class. We went on a 7 day safari to Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, and Maasai Mara with a fantastic guide (and fourth member our family for that time). We saw 38(!) lions, cheetahs, jackals, giraffes, rhinos, elephants, ostrich, a leopard, elands, hippos, and wildebeest galore. We woke up early to ride in a hot air balloon and watch the sun rise.

In Zanzibar we got lost in the alleys of Stone Town admiring the architecture and intricate doors. We ate grilled meats at the coastal night market while watching the teenagers jump into the Indian Ocean.

And of course I shopped for records at Real Vinyl Guru in Nairobi’s Kenyatta Market.

This is just a sample of an amazing experience. I created a Kenyan Safari highlight on my page for all the videos I shared. taken in East Africa by @zachpleasant
