A week out and recovered from @gobeyondracing Mountain Lakes 💯 and I’ve finally had the chance to process what was just accomplished.
•
After literal years of peaks and training for this distance, only to be let down by fires and cancellations, it feels indescribable to finally put this in the bank as my 100 mile debut. Sub24 is just a cherry on top of an already sweet weekend.
•
Spent 70 miles of trail with my brother from another mother @noahgoodwintraining , working through every curveball that was thrown our way.
Exactly how we trained for it over countless hours, days and weeks. More on that later but I wouldn’t have had it any other way! 🫂
•
All in all, I had an amazing day/night! Not one shoe adjustment or change all day. Thank you @runspeedland as always. No foot pain or issues for 23 hours says everything!
As usual, @pathprojects kept me beyond comfortable and worry free during the big temp swings. More on these choices later but in one word, “LOMOND!” iykyk

Most importantly, to my tribe, my crew, my people… This would not have been possible without everyone of you! It takes a village… actually it takes more than that and you all went well above and beyond. Endlessly Grateful and I LOVE you every single one of you!!🙏🏼

First 100 miler in the books! Originally it was planned to be the OC100 by @alpine.running but unfortunately they had to cancel the race due to the extreme wildfires in Central Oregon.

My friends that were going to support me for that race were committed to make sure that I still ran 100 miles this weekend. We pivoted and I decided to run the Strawberry Fields Forever Course on my own and the help crew, friends and family. 6 mile loops until 100 miles.

I wouldn’t have been able to finish this one on my own without the support from everyone who showed up for me. Of the 18 laps I ran, I only had to run 3 of them by myself. My crew made sure that I was fed and in high spirits.

I went into running this 100 miles thinking I wouldn’t get a buckle or ultrasignup score. With the help of Esther Holman and @noahgoodwintraining they got in touch with the RD for Strawberry Fields and I was able to secure my first buckle.

Lastly, I want to thank everyone who showed up for me. From sharing miles, laughs, pep talks, and smiles. We did it.

My cup is full.

Wow. Had such a great time out at the Smith Rock Classic 50K today. Shoutout to @alpine.running for putting on such an amazing event. Can’t complain with having this as my first visit to Smith Rock.

One of the highlights was meeting the legendary @ianbror . We shared most of our miles together throughout the race and it was truly magical.

Huge thank you to @madelinewinfree and @sam.werthy for sitting around and waiting for me all day.

Also, it was awesome seeing the FatBoys in full force out here today and crushing all of their distances. @noahgoodwintraining @joehansonvazquez @eli_shreves @jaybird_runs @speedland_chris

Lastly. I wanna shoutout my coach @andrew.vs.running with @theeverydayultra . He’s helped me grow into a stronger and (somewhat) faster runner. So excited to crush the rest of this race season.

First 100K in the books today! Learned so much over the race and boy did it kick my butt. Huge thank you and shoutout to Crew Chief @madelinewinfree. I wouldn’t be able to train and do these events without you. ❤️

Also shoutout to @fatboy.rc.pnw for showing up full force! I enjoyed being able to share miles with most of you out there.🍩

Lastly big thank you to the best damn coach in all the land @andrew.vs.running. Super stoked to continue this trajectory this race season. 🤟🏼

This was a fun one on a whim. Got invited to run this two days ago and had such a blast. Shoutout to @noahgoodwintraining, @joehansonvazquez and everyone else from FBRC for bringing all the vibes today!

Had an amazing romantic getaway with @madelinewinfree for our 9th wedding anniversary. The weather was great today so we went and conquered Dog Mtn 🐕

I can’t imagine this life without you and I can’t wait to share many more years with you.

Lastest Not Fastest. We were not the fastest and definitely not the Lastest. 4.1 mile loop every hour on the hour. Finished with 13 loops and 54 miles.

Huge shout out to the best crew one could ask for. @madelinewinfree made sure that I was well fed and happy and @sammyboybikes and his tender hands rubbed my legs. You guys are the best. ❤️ taken in Strawberry island by @zachwinfree
