We have gracefully built our own identities and no one can strip that from us! Twin is defined as, “Either of two children born to the same mother on the same occasion”…. NOT CLONES. NOT COPIES. You are you, and I am me. No bond deeper, no bond dearer. I love you from August 24, 2004 to eternity♾️🤞🏾

To Hobart,

Thank you for helping me find my identity. I came into college knowing music was the reason, but what in music? Thank you for the challenging courses, bonds with staff and fellow music majors, opportunities, career tips, motivation, and all the support. I would’ve never found my own sound, never found my voice again, and never have found my purpose without Hobart forcing me out of what I thought was comfortable. You did not allow me to get complacent. Hosting my own concerts?!?! Are you kidding me?!?! Hobart helped me find my niche, which I plan to instill that same motivation into the next generations, whether that be on big stages or small classrooms. There is no “Zack’R’Ee” without Hobart. Proud Hobart Kid

To The Marching Storm⛈️,

Once a dream, now a memory. So many places you’ve taken me that little me would’ve never imagined. It’s been a legendary run, and I’m proud knowing every performance, I left it all on those fields, stands, stages, and venues. I’ve left my Ⓜ️ark: The Speedrun…. The work has shown👏🏾

-To my crab siblings, it’s been a long time coming. Thank you for forming my first impression of PV. I shall forever cherish the memories we’ve made. The bonding hours, the kickbacks, the inside jokes, the late night dorm chronicles.. This is not goodbye, this is see yall later.
-To the Ⓜ️, we will forever defy all odds against us. Thank you for this unwavering bond that I’ve watch grow from my freshman year all the way to graduating. I appreciate y’all for allowing me to lead, being apart of my growth as a leader, and sticking behind me. As a leader, you learn you can’t do it all by yourself. I was simply the guide. We all made GREATNESS happen. Thank you for allowing me to lead the greatest dynasty the SWAC has witnessed. Shall we forever dog walk any line across from us!!

To Prairie View,

Thank you for opening my eyes, showing me what’s out there, shaping me into adulthood, and emboldening my pride of being an unapologetically young, black, and gifted man. The culture, the people, the history? What’s there not to love? At PV, I found myself and I no longer felt the need to shelter my personality out of fear. They say Prairie View produces Productive Panthers. Indeed, but Prairie View also produces Royalty. My heart will forever beat for the Hill💜💛

To my Mom,

Thank you for always believing in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. Thank you for always being an open ear, even when I did not want to speak. Thank you for always giving me words I needed to hear, even when I didn’t want to listen. Thank you for always being my biggest cheerleader and pushing my creativity and ambition, even when I felt I would not succeed. College was tough, but you always told me I was tougher and God was the toughest. I shall never sell myself short nor let anything/anyone tear my life down because of how much life over the years you have spoken into me. You gave me life, you spoke over my life, and you prayed for my life. I owe it all to you and everything I’ve done and continue to do will always be for you. You screamed and cheered louder than anyone, so may my gratitude be just as loud!!

To my Guardian Angels,

Not a moment goes by where I do not think of y’all, and how yall have helped shaped me into the man I am today. Losing y’all while in college has played a huge role in my college story. “Voices of The Guardian Angels”. It hurts to walk the stage and not tell y’all face to face “I DID IT”, but I know y’all have been watching and will watch my college story conclude firsthand. I pray I’ve made yall proud, and Lord knows I love y’all more than words can say. I’ve written poems and composed my own music to honor y’all, so may me walking this stage also honor your names.
