When you cook up a crazy idea into a script you never imagine you’ll get it made, let alone have the project land a dream team combo of director, cast, and distributor who are so dedicated to the vision. Here is proof that Christmas miracles do happen! Can’t wait for the world to meet the Kringles this winter!! 🎅🎄 by @zack_imbrogno

Perfunctory this is 40 post.

Sometimes life is a blur and other times you get a nice clean break into the next chapter. And sometimes it’s both. This is 40.

If life were a screenplay this might be the act 2 break/middle point of the hero’s journey where there’s a moment of truth that changes your life/yourself and gives you no choice but to chart a new destiny for the back half of the story. This is also 40.

Here’s to the next 40, whatever it has in store 🥂 by @zack_imbrogno

**This episode was filmed earlier in 2025 - delayed due to corrupted hard-drive**

In this episode of ClassHorrorCast, we sit down with indie filmmaker Zack Imbrogno — producer, writer, and creative force behind projects like Slayers (2022), Fear, Inc. (2016), and the upcoming Stay At Home — to uncover his journey into the horror and genre world.

We talk about how he first fell in love with horror, the challenges of carving out a creative path in indie film, and his transition into producing and writing. Zack shares behind-the-scenes stories from his work, stories of grit and passion from his career, and what keeps him motivated when the industry throws curveballs.

From curation to creativity, we explore why horror compels him, how he’s adapting in the modern genre landscape, and which stories he still wants to tell.

Whether you’re a horror fan, an indie filmmaker, or someone curious about the behind-the-scenes life, this is a conversation you don’t want to miss. by @zack_imbrogno

This one is tough. @manicpixiereaper and I lost our beautiful boy this week. He lived 14.5 years and beat his cancer prognosis by so many months that it’s hard not to think he was hanging on to meet our baby girl before finally saying goodbye. When he did, it felt like the circle of life was unfolding right before our eyes. Difficult but also sacred and worthy of celebration.

Fin was our first son and his life spanned five presidential administrations and took us from our mid 20s to just shy of 40. He never missed a walk or a meal until his final day. He lived 85 long, full, and adventurous dog years.

A complicated dog from the beginning (part Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh and part Cocaine Bear), young Fin was not for the faint of heart. His infamous escape from a hotel room at the Tribeca Grand made us wonder if we were fit to be his parents. But moving from NYC to LA opened up his world to the outdoors and hiking the canyons became his favorite pastime in his prime. He walked us every day (not the other way around), and every day we got exercise and spent quality time out in nature with him - time which we’ll always be grateful for. We spent his retirement years in NorCal where he enjoyed river swims, flatter walks, and cooler summers.

Now that he’s gone, nothing could prepare us for how much we miss him. But there is peace in knowing Fin’s body gave him everything it could and that now he’s moved onto the next adventure on the other side, where we trust he’ll be waiting for us one day.

Until then, watch over us old boy, and we’ll be looking and listening out for you on walks and out in nature where your spirit roams eternal over the lands.

Welcome to the world Mustang! It’s a wild place but we’ll do our best to help you become a secure, authentic, and whole person within it. Here’s to you, kid. It’s gonna be a fun ride! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

@manicpixiereaper here’s to the next chapter of our journey together as parents - and to you for being the ultimate bad ass who brought new life into our lives. I didn’t think I could love you more… but I do. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

To the cosmic forces that met us at the intersection of faith and fate and allowed us to become a family… we’ll always be grateful and never take a day for granted. by @zack_imbrogno

States, countries, continents... We covered a lot of ground, packed light and never checked a bag. Travel might look a little different a few months from now 😉... Grateful to get in one last epic hurrah, adults only style, with you @manicpixiereaper ! by @zack_imbrogno

Grateful to kick off Halloween season with a bit of good news during an otherwise difficult year. The strike has been brutal to say the least but also a time when I've learned to embrace my indie roots, getting this next feature going under the very terms the AMPTP refuses to agree to. Shooting this month and look out for it in time for Halloween 2024! by @zack_imbrogno
